Eyes of the Beast pressing when ? In what content ? We’ve never lost Eye of Kilrogg as far as I can tell (everytime I’ve played lock I had it), yet guess how many times I bothered.
I agree it’s the main reason i rarely play mine it’s to simple.
Bad example.
A lot of the unpruned things are utility. Also, back in the day a perfectly good reason for Arcane to have Frostbolt is the slow effect. Arcane evolved to the point where it had its own slow effect, but yeah.
I for one am excited for auras, Rogue poisons, Warlock curses and other things to make a return and think your comment about Frostbolt is dumb and unfounded.
No, it’s the same spell, but a different button. An additional button if you will.
Ah, bitterness against hardcore players. Your stances makes sense now.
Everything gets pressed all the time outside of bossfights. Seals and auras get put up and swapped around very frequently.
lmao. you’re trolling.
I don’t count it as a different button. Flash of Light is your Flash of Light button. If the goal is only to have multiple keybinds, nothing stops you from having 4 different ones for Chimera Shot right now, just drag it to your bar 4 times.
I’m 8/8M, Hall of Fame this tier.
Uh… no. Not really.
Having actually leveled a Paladin in Vanilla back in 2005, no. You hardly ever swap out of Concentration aura
Considering I have 4 bars filled with Paladin abilities on my main, nope. Maybe you should try actually playing Paladin at high level.
There’s a difference between more buttons, and a more fun combat.
WoW’s classes have already fallen from most of their uniqueness in the past, and whatever left is mundane, old and boring.
I honestly can’t think of a rotation that was fun, other than legion feral and MoP subtlety rogue. Maybe the moving astral alignment for boomkins was interesting, or when death knights’ runes being seperate into blood, frost, Unholy and death runes.
You don’t need everything to have a key-bind. I personally enjoy having a large spell book of talents and choosing only those I’ll use regularly for key-bind.
Well it is.
You look like a pet-battling LFR zero to me.
Uh, yes, they do. Just because you don’t care to put up the ideal aura for the situation/group you’re in doesn’t mean that’s how everyone else plays.
yikes. What if you’re in the tank’s group? Do you not put up devo, ret, fire resistance? What if you’re fighting a Mage or a Warlock/Priest? you don’t put up frost/shadow resistance? I think we found the problem here. You’re a below average player who doesn’t press his buttons anyway.
lmao. show us a screenshot of all your paladin abilities in bfa bro.
Mages getting their abilities back is actually really good… Especially for arcane cause you guys need it. Y’all need to give blizzard a chance to put some changes on the shadowlands PTR when they come out with it before making these type of statements cause they are FOR SURE not just catering to people. They’re realizing the pruning was a big mistake that MAJORITY of the player base pointed out to them as Ion Hozzikostas said in his Q&A back in July. My personal take on this is that they should remove stuff out of the talent rows & make most of them base line again. But getting our abilities back is a start & we all should not be complaining.
The unpruning shouldn’t do much to your basic rotation.
What it does do is give more tactical options for situations that are more than simply doing a dps rotation. In other words, the more interesting parts of the game.
One of the things I used to love on my WotLK warlock was how many choices I had when entering battle. I might not have always found the most stat-efficient way of handling a situation, but I was able to come up with a lot of different ways to handle things.
I like having lots of abilities and buttons, even if some of them are just for flavor or aren’t optimal. It’s fun to come up with different ways to tackle groups of mobs.
You have a right to have a very wrong opinion about the actual facts.
You mean my like 6th alt does ?
All situations blur into the same basically.
Leveling in the tank group ? What ?
I would if I could.
That’s not the point of it. Right now, you start to cast Arcane Blast, and get silenced… What do you do? Run around like an idiot for 4-7 seconds…
In Shadowlands, you start to cast Arcane Blast and get silenced… What do you do? Cast Frostbolt to slow them and deal damage and get away.
It gives you more utility in your abilities and gives you things to do when there aren’t things that you can do.
…and you get to play a role…in a role-playing game. Abilities add flavor.
Here’s the thing, those abilities are going to be situationally very good for us, especially in PVP, and as mages, we should like having a lot of our old spells back - but if they leave arcane as it is right now, you’re right - it won’t matter.
Honestly, what the actual hell were they thinking with this terrible ‘rework’? Fury’s rework was amazing, this is the worst thing ever. It’s like you handed the class to someone who has never played arcane in their life.
I personally think the dumbing down of the game by pruning abilities makes it more boring. I miss my Priest being able to utilize spells from the other specs and I will be glad to have them back.
There’s no opinion about it. A downranked spell is an additional button.
Like all of your characters most likely are.
???
No, not all situations are the same. Not to a decent player at least.
???
Being in the tank’s group. Like doing a dungeon or raid in the same group as the tank (which means your aura is applied to the tank, if you didn’t know).
Agreed. I remember the day I learned that my Warlock would no longer be able to cast shadow bolt in affliction whilst summoning my Felguard.
I’m really hopeful that restoring key abilities and class flavor will allow for fun hybrid builds again.
Yeah, the unpruning is only a good thing, there’s no real argument to be had.
