You keep making arguments I feel are contradictory. On one hand you seem to feel MB’s are the reason your pets and other items aren’t selling at a higher price because of farmers, but then you say you care about a new player’s frustration? A truly new player has very little gold (1g) so having to pay a higher price for your pets or other mats is very frustrating.
You can keep playing the socialism angle, but since you have admitted to having a bruto AND being upset you can’t sell as much for a higher price then I think we all know the truth here. If you cared about new players Mr. Longboi? Then you’d set the example for the community and just give them stuff since you have millions of gold.
Then tokens for game time would have to be banned as well, right? Because that is an IRL money advantage over other players as well. People buy tokens to sell on the AH to get in-game gold. I bet you don’t agree with that banning though. 
This is how it was before and it was horrible. It didn’t stop people from multiboxing then. You do realize that people figure out node spawn points? So they could just put a toon at every point and wait for spawn.
Oh, so again this isn’t about new players it’s about a way for you to make more gold.

I am not allocating a return of the old single tap, I’m sure I said that somewhere. Did you not even read what you pasted? In case not, I’ll repeat - a node would despawn but another would appear close by and the first one would reappear very soon thereafter. That’s obviously different from the old single tap system.
Do I think it will happen? No I don’t. I was merely offering it as an alternative opinion to the OP’s fairly unworkable options.
