I hope you stretched some before you reached for that analogy.
Just because you have no counter-argument doesn’t mean mine is wrong. To the contrary, it simply supports mine.
OUR leveling zones. OURS
the entitlement in his posts is seriously off the hook.
wrong. You can farm for gold to pay for game time.
Damn there is a new post about this every week now. It just doesn’t end. Until Blizz decides that multiboxing is against the rules, as it currently is not, nothing will change.
It’s up to them and really this constant pestering will likely not change until a newer official statement is made by blizz. I don’t really foresee them changing it though considering the revenue that it generates.
Interesting to see always the same people arguing this though. Almost every thread is the same people debating and yet new threads are started every few days.
You don’t have an argument at this point. There’s nothing to counter when you’re just yelling at the clouds.
hmmm.
I think a better solution than all of those things is something far simpler to implement.
Consider the benefit to gold farmers of using mboxed characters - primarily it is the ability to tap an ore or herb node multiple times to gain those materials multiplied by however many characters they are controlling. While they are also active in killing mobs to gain things like cloth and gear and gold, it probably impacts more on players who are attempting to level up their herbing and mining or collecting some mats for themselves on individual characters.
So change the way herb and ore nodes work. Have each node become single tap but, when that node is tapped, have another node spawn within a relatively close distance (which is also single tap). And have that same first node respawn within, say, a minute. That would remove the benefit of farming on multiple toons because you would only get one tap per node and having multiple toons going would provide no benefit.
Single gatherers would be fine because another node would spawn close by and gathering would in fact increase the amount of nodes appearing across the world.
While there isn’t much you can do to prevent mboxing mobs to collect other stuff, each player has as much chance as an mboxing in targetting and collecting stuff and can fairly easily shift around to widen their activities.
you said ‘our’ but youve been saying ‘my’ when referring to nodes and mobs.
They arent yours till theyre IN your bags.
thats the most asinine illogic so far in this thread lol
exactly.
wrong…they can farm for gold to pay…just like I do on occasion.
try harder.
give it time. I can hear the ‘democratic socialism’ screams in my head already. lol
Your argument only works if you have the sheer time needed to make the G to support multiple accounts. Many players, even in COVID, don’t have the luxury of sitting in their basement on gramma’s computer to farm 8 hours day to get that kind of gold. Again, your argument is your privilege allows you to feed yourself, be clothed, in a domocile while you spend the day playing a game.
A person working 2 jobs to feed their family who just wants a couple of hours of fun a night doesn’t have the luxury. However, because of your privilege you do and they should suffer your wrath.
That’s pay-to-win, and I would argue pay-to-cheat.
More jabs…
players who can FARM for gold to pay for their accounts.
Bogus argument to begin with however.
If your finances are so strained that you cant afford $15 a month, maybe you should be thinking about food and rent, not video games…
I take it you dont pay $60+ a pop for a round of golf?
It really doesn’t take all that long to earn enough gold to set up another account.
Oh please. The “I have a life” card is no more valid than the “think of the new players” argument.
It’s neither. Otherwise you would be arguing that being able to afford to play longer is also “pay to win”.
Isn’t there a thing that LWers or BS craft that lets you gather on any mount?
Though that is a good idea they would just sit there and wait for it to spawn, now if the timers was off it might work, but i doubt it would.
Seriously, what reality do you live in where you have $60 to pay for a game? $15 is a stretch for many folks. But,ok, you can throw you IRL money into the game to gain an advantage over the rest of us.
You’re arguing for not banning the practice even though it relies on IRL money while the rest of us are working go just get by and earn a little gold.
total tripe nonsense.
I farmed enough for THREE tokens on ONE character in less than four days playing maybe 4 hours a day.
Course…i aint silly enough to think farming ore and herbs will pay that kinda gold
hmmmm…yeah…and the guys who make $150 an hour building websites at home on one monitor and collecting Adsense $$$ all day, every day on dozens of of websites and youtube channels …where do they fit in to your narrative?
By low/no post counters lol.
brb, gonna make a multiboxing thread on my alt.
just trying to figure out how YOU think its a good idea for the POOR to be paying food and rent money on video games.
Sounds pretty irresponsible to me.
If I couldnt AFFORD my hobbies, Id QUIT…
always.
I just did a forum search and other boxing threads…same thing…low post count OP.
