Started our usual raid group, but not everyone was able to zone in. As raid leader I tried swapping the difficulty between heroic and normal 10m as one person had advised that might allow players to zone in. Unfortunately that made the problem worse. We went from 1 person unable to zone in to 3 people unable to zone in.
We also tried disbanding the raid group, resetting instance. We got to a point where 5 of 10 people could not zone in. They were receiving error messages about not being eligible for the instance. We tried to summon people in with a warlock but the affected characters could not be targetted.
Two things finally worked to get our entire group zoned in.
Four people were fixed by logging out of their raiding character and sitting in game on an alt for at least 2 minutes. After logging back over they could zone in.
A fifth person flew up to the Mogu-shan Palace 5 man instance and we were able to summon them from the instance into Siege. Later another person left for a moment and was unable to zone back in. That person also went to the 5 man up the hill and was able to take a summon from there.
Our best theory at the moment is that Vale of Eternal Blossoms has some sort of bug attached that is affecting a lot of characters being able to zone into SoO from the outdoor area. I personally and others I know also experienced a ton of jittery lag while flying or moving through the zone. Something has been off about it since it was transformed to its final state on Tuesday.
This is a classic WoW instance/phasing fix — the old “relog to reset your character’s world state” trick. The fact that it requires bouncing through another character suggests it’s probably a phasing or world state issue, likely related to the Vale of Eternal Blossoms transition since the Vale now has to be in its destroyed/siege phase for SoO. If your character loads into the wrong phase of the Vale it probably can’t resolve the instance entry correctly until the game resets your session state.
ive had this problem on 2 toons so far, both are 550 ilvl with cloaks. ive tried every way of logging out and went to sw into stocks but nothing is working. ive tried zoning in on 5 different toons and only 1 has been able to zone in
The fix for our raid that seemed to work pretty much every time there was an error entering SoO, was to fly to Mogushan Palace (the 5 man instance), zone in, zone out and re-enter the raid. Seemed to fix the issue, “you don’t meet the requirements”, error.
This was also an issue for our raid last night. Wiped on a boss and half the raid could not reenter the instance. We tried resetting all instances ,logging in and out this got 4 people in could never get the last one back in. Ended up having to give up as we couldn’t load in.
For a quick work around have them zone into mogu shan palace than head back to the raid portal or have a lock summon them inside the raid while they are inside of MSP dungeon.
Just want to update that my raid group did not experience this bug this week, so maybe (hopefully!) the issue was resolved.
Eta: We’re still a bit gun shy about releasing when in the instance, but it was okay even when we did. Fresh wounds I guess.
