I want to see what WoD was supposed to be. What we got was hot garbage, but it had a lot of unrealized the potential in all the things they decided to cut.
Legion Classic would be too popular not to do.
You don’t need an “option” to revisit Legion. You can just do that in the base game because the game is largely the same as it was then lol
That’s the whole point. If at any point Classic gets to Legion, then it’s not Classic anymore. It’s just retail-lite.
And you don’t get more options to play the game, because every new expansion they re-release overwrites the previous expansion. There is no classic TBC or classic WotLK right now. There won’t be a classic Cata in a month or so. We’ll have to wait for the current anniversary servers to catch up, at which point the same thing will happen lol
Believe it or not, Classic TWW
People hated WoD for the launch issues and sparse content. The content itself was some of the best this game has ever seen. Best leveling, top tier raids, garrisons were pretty cool too. If they released it on a 1 year track it would be great.
MoP should be where progression stops, if only because WoD-onwards just turns the game into retail but with less content.
If you really think so, then i guess you didn’t play Legion at ALL.
Good, then it means i have Retail and “Retailt-lite” as you call it. As i said more options to play.
Like right now i can play Retail, Cata (MoP) soon and Classic. I don’t know about you but im really happy with it because i can jump in any of those whenever i want and have fun, im actually playing the 3 versions some more that the others but enjoying my time and getting way more out of my Sub that i did before.
But i do, as i just explained.
Yeah, that’s what an expansion is.
Classic TBC Anniversary is “close” enough.
I know, im fine with that.
Im fine with that too.
I do see more options and enjoy them and if there is one i don’t i simply don’t play it and stick with what i enjoy.
WoD is kind of the breaking point of being “Classic” and shifting into a fundamentally different game. Leveling becomes more and more of a trivial annoyance, and everything is about max level content.
The separation of retail & classic gets weirder too, like you have all these collected tmog appearances already, and they’re wiped out on the classic side. But it can’t merge wardrobes, because anyone who skipped vanilla-classic due to them not being linked gets shafted for failing to go back and get that unobtainable stuff.
Their goal is to funnel players into Retail. Classic Should catch-up by The Last Titan.
It will continue until no more money is made!
I’d be interested to know, though, whether WoD Classic will be released or whether it will transition directly into Legion Classic. Of course, it wouldn’t be Classic anymore if WoD received the cut content. But it would be really great to see Farahlon, Shattrath raids, and much more!
WoD doesn’t have any cut content to show, I’m certain it all got repurposed. Farahlon = Macaree, any concept art, map work, or incomplete assets got used there. Any Shattrath bosses (Gorefiend) that were designed got stuck somewhere else too. Auchindoun may very well be the interior space of the Shattrath raid before it got scrapped, it’s huge and barely gets used.
Why is that, as long as theres demand and money to be made, i dont see why blizz wouldnt do it
Didn’t the former head writer state that Shadowlands was the conclusion of the first Warcraft saga? That would make Shadowlands a fitting end for Classic.
People thinking quantity over quality is a good thing…
Probably keeps going until the surveys they send out stop being positive towards the next expansion.
Then maybe the cycle restarts, classic classic™
How about just make world of Warcraft 2 and start from the very beginning of the lore
