Currently in Mist of Pandaria, we’re in some type of middle ground of what the transmog system was originally and some of the quality-of-life updates that came later on.
While I really like that we don’t need to have void storage and the actual item for us to be able to transmog to it, it’s also a bit weird when you don’t really know what to expect from the system. We’ve received some of QoL updates like unlocking quest rewards but it’s limited to the character that did the quest, not account bound like it is on retail.
I’m hoping that moving forward, we could get a patch that port the modern collection system over to MoP. From Blizzards point of view, it has to be less work maintaining two different solutions (especially since the one used in MoP isn’t the one from OG MoP). Here are some of the things I’m currently missing:
- Quest rewards unlocked on all characters (regardless of if you can equip them or not). Example: I’ve done all TBC quests on a leather character. I should have all cloth, mail and plate rewards from those quests in my collection.
- Transmog of left/right shoulders separately
- Possibility to unlock transmog from white/grey quality items
- Sources to toys and mounts
- Summon random favorite mount
- Unlock transmog on vendor sale
While there certainty isn’t a lack of things to do in MoP, this would be a nice addition and good preparation for “less” content heavy expansions moving forward.
Side note: Could we get dungeon journal working for all expansions raids and not just Cata/MoP?
