Hi! I’m Game Master Lady Aestynurgue and I hope you have a great day.I understand from your message that you purchased a race change in Mists of Pandaria Classic, but it’s not working, you’re not being able to actually switch your character’s race to Pandaren, even after logging out and back in.
This appears to be a known issue affecting race changes specifically for Pandaren. Other players have reported the race options for Pandaren characters being greyed out or unavailable, even after purchasing the service Our devs are aware of this glitch and it’s currently under investigation; it’s believed to be tied to the unique nature of Pandaren characters being neutral faction initially
While we GMs don’t have tools to directly apply the change or fix bugs like this, you can keep an eye out for updates and news about this issue on the official World of Warcraft news portal: https://worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-us/news

Curious on why I got this response then for my ticket if this what Vrakthis says is correct on it being technically intended and up for discussion… Seems like they don’t have proper communication channels that are sharing the same information. That’s for sure.
Seems like their system is registering Panda as a neutral faction vs a neutral race at the moment which is allowing faction change service with the ability to choose Panda then as confirmed by others. Race changing within alliance or horde isn’t possible due to it being not a race, but it’s own neutral faction. Your faction choice for Panda comes later when you are leveling, but if this current faction change works then why don’t they say that is the only option and refund?
But then comes the question on how is Panda not a race? So thinking race change should work makes a lot of sense. Could just update their system to allow both…
