Im watching the paragon heroic rag kill(the hardest boss in cata ya know?), and it doesnt seem that at any point the boomkin pov is trying to sunkin
I said any one with half a brain would understand, clearly over half the people you meet are below average intelligence. So i donât expect everyone to understand and I surely expect the half brain show me a log or a graph response from someone that is clearly trolling and lacks the fundamental understanding of the utility that Boomkin USED to bring to a raid. And your parse or graph means nothing without the context of the other 24 people that helped you get it. There are smart players and there are button pushers.
You swapped toons

Thatâs every dps performance compared to every other dps. Show me where the boomkin dps line takes a dip after the bug fix.
We werent anywhere near far enough into the optimization barrel to properly implement sunkin in the original cata. Snapshotting mastery was a technique then as well, but not to the extent that we were planning on this time around.
Itâs not snapshotting when you stay in permanent eclipse state
Then why can you do it in heroics and while questing right now?
Because heroics dont reset abilities like raid bosses doâŚand neither do questsâŚ
Go pop a 10 min CD in a heroic and see if it resets after boss.
lol that doesnât make sense. Why donât other buffs reset after raid bosses then per your logic. Stop pretending to be Blizzard when you lost the arguement.
Yes it does, you just canât understand it or refuse to.
If blizzard really wanted to fix this âbugâ as a bug they could have made it so going out of combat would reduce your eclipse by 20 and end eclipse if you ended combat at max eclipse.
Then its 1 spell to get into eclipse but fixes the snapshotting.
The method they used was a huge nerf not equivalent to a bug fix, but a full on nerf. And with 0 communication, the only way to read this change is as a stealth nerf, not a bug fix.
Blizz could do a lot of things better to fix bugs. They opted for a raid fix.
They opted for a hard nerf instead of a âbugâ fix. With 0 communication.
lol you totally are dodging questions. Why donât other buffs reset?
Thatâs the problem. A guide doesnât care whether itâs a bug or an exploit, theyâll tell you to use it because itâs available and itâs a dps gain. They couldnât care less if it crashed everyone else in your raid, if itâs a DPS gain theyâll tell you to hit it like itâs no tomorrow cuz screw everyone else, âMuh parses!â
For it being a âhard nerfâ boomkin performance has not dipped compared to other dps in the logs.
You can keep repeating the lie all you like, but anyone can go over to warcraftlogs and confirm you are lying pretty easily:
https://classic.warcraftlogs.com/zone/statistics/1023#aggregate=amount×pan=1000
See the straight line for dps? If they were nerfed their line would dip in relation to other dps.
Except you are forgetting something.
You are sorting by 2 weeks and ignoring the power spike raid gear gives which would counteract that dip.
If you dont think it was a nerf then wsrriors should start all boss foghtd st 0 rage, rogues and feral 0 combo points and remove buffs like slice and dice on boss pull. Dk 0 runic power.
âIts not a nerf it is a bug fixâ
Nerfs dont have to be big nerfs to be a nerf.
Its not a bug fix. No one has ever thought that it was.
https://classic.warcraftlogs.com/zone/statistics/1023#aggregate=amount×pan=1000
Except you canât read, because it clearly labels the dates at the bottom and the straight line has been since the bug fixâŚ
Go use your own link
It pulls up data for âover a range of 2 weeksâ
And again, this wasnt a bug fix, this was a nerf
If they wanted to fix a bug they could have reset eclipse to 20 off of eclipse if you started a boss fight at full eclipse and they viewed that as a bug.
I have a druid who is resto main spec boomkin off spec. I did not play mastery stacking sunkin, but it was a playstyle from origional cata. It was never declared a bug then. This was a nerf because it was a playstyle that the current devs did not like. And thats fine to a degree, but there is 2 issues with thos change.
The main issue is the absolute lack of communication.
The second issue is the mislabeling of it being a âbug fixâ by uninformed players like yourself.
I do think boomkins should get a MINOR buff as compensation as this did result in a noticable nerf to a class that was already lower on the dps scales, that nerf statistically is not being seen as clearly due to the jump from dungeons gear to heroic raid gear and the adjustment of stat priorities due to no longer wanting to stack all mastery, making its exact effect hard to calculate. But it was a nerf, not a bug fix.
Moonkins are in a fine spot. In fact, they are middle of the pack when played properly. They do not need help.
