Which if anything is the best place to be as it means you don’t really have to worry to much about over nerfing, but you also don’t really have the benefit of gaining any buffs unless anything shines some light on an area where the specialization is over lacking.
I wonder if players actually understand the aggregate data they’re looking at and I wonder if they’ve hit the 8.0 and 8.1 button , saw that the DPS on each fight was identical, and either didn’t care to think about how, or why, or maybe they truely believe that the data represents an actual raid group.
I’m gonna go with this guy and second what he’s saying.

For 8.1 is the default, you dont need to change it.
If you want the most limited view into a data set you don’t need to change anything. This is true.
I’m looking at the statistics, monk isn’t last on any boss in uldir. Looked at 90th percentile, 95th percentile & 99th percentile.
I think you have 2 issues here:
- You don’t know how to read or interpret data
- You don’t know how to play a WW

Looking at the 90th, 95th and 99th percentile for all bosses every class has at least one spec that is doing better than WW.
What is the % delta between the specs?
How close do they need to be for them to be viewed as equal?
A lot of the specs in the middle are within 2% of each other crying out loud.
From the top to ww is 8%. I dont know, maybe I am looking at this wrong because your right, it isnt that much different than the a few of the classes above it with the exception of demo locks and frost dks.

It has nothing to do with being first, its just the aggregate data from wow logs for overall performance.
Honestly, you’re nowhere near the point of doing content at that level so why worry about it.

Its data, you can look at the statistics in wow logs yourself. Its really self explanatory. I also understand you said its mid but you fail to acknowledge the specs from the other classes, such as survival, demo/destruction, fire/frost mage, boomkin and elemental which are all above monk in dps.

That’s nice. It’s still not the bottom, which is what you tried to claim at the start saying it’s the absolute bottom dps. It’s mid which is where you want to be. Also 1 out of 3 of the monks specs isn’t in the top bracket. Boo hoo.

You must have missed the title of the thread that says monk is the worst performing DPS in uldir. Or when I posted DPS numbers from the top players based on class, not on spec. Or where I repeatedly stated that every class has specs that can beat monks. I will admit that the initial post may not have conveyed my original intent but I have since cleared it up multiple times.
And even if you were considering all specs, 18/24 isnt mid its low.
It’s still considered mid tier.
