That’s just how they describe it in the book. There isn’t really a boogeyman.
I don’t have high hopes, I thought the omen machine storyline was terrible
Like everything after the end of the original series was just weak.
What happened to Cara and Zed, terrible.
The story of “the other world” law by 9 or w/e was ok
Don’t read the new ones then. I thought they were worse and some of the things they did made no sense.

And it felt like they retconned a few things there
Yea, warheart was the ending to that arc. They did zedd, ben, and cara dirty in that arc

Ben broke my heart the most because I liked the guy, but mostly how it affected Cara.

I will say of series that has been going on since I was a kid, I’m glad Jim Butcher hasn’t ruined Dresden Files, even if he is taking forever between books

I actually liked the final 3 books of the wheel of time once it stopped being a snooze fest, but we should probably get back on topic though
