Mob Grinding?

In vanilla I grinded 45-49 in Azshara (naga ruins area). It was fairly efficient from what I recall. This was on a disc priest. Just shield and go, wand, etc.

I heart generalizations.

Desolace mob grinding is what will get me my mount. Skinning + all those beasts near the Kodo graveyard = Profit

I have not as I happen to thoroughly enjoy the questing process. I do, however, often kill more mobs than necessary - anything close to the road, mobs as I come back through an area. It’s a good way of picking up some spare coin (as long as I don’t get myself killed and wind up with repair costs.)

Nice work dude

I had a lot of fun slaying Gelkis centaurs yesterday and ended up racking up a lot of xp in the process of completing quests. As long as you are doing it with mobs at a reasonable level there is a lot to gain.

No real gear though.

Eventually you will start grinding because there is simply not enough quests to get you through the next level as you get higher up. It might be a few bars to hit the next level in your late 30s, but as you progress into your 40s you’ll notice less quests with some being orange and red. Some people prolong this by doing all the low level questing areas to get as much green quest xp as possible.

However, not everyone thinks about this and hence the grind. Plus, there are a lot collection quests that require you to grind due to the infamous rng drop rates. Grinding is the nature of the game (whether its xp, rep, or honor), you either do it in groups or you do it solo. Either way you’re grinding. Note I’m referring to small grinding sessions to help you get to the next level. A lot guides mention grinding entire levels which is something I would not suggest. Also, as others have mention previously you can turn your mob grinding sessions into farming sessions.

Since you are posting on a warrior I suggest if you want gear upgrades to run dungeons. You will also get a lot of green drops and cloth that you can sell on the AH. That way you can just focus on your warrior instead of switching to an alt to make money.
