I went 4-2…gained 0 CR
Then went 2-4….lost 26 CR.
Why is this a thing? Do we seriously have to 5-1, 6-0 to climb? This is 1800s too, not like I’m at 2400.

I’d imagine it was a very low mmr lobby, compared to your personal
Healing is mathematically punished for playing Ranked Solo Shuffle, unfortunately. Blizzard will eventually have to throw in the towel and give healers some rating assistance because from a simple mathematical perspective, DPS players have 300% of the opportunity to gain CR when compared with healer players.
I’d really love to face something other than rdruids. Just faced one that did 115k hps, with trees doing number 1 heals. Disgusting.
agreed I had to quit solo shuffle healing after this happened like 20 times in a row just over it man.
They should add an option to make it so you can opt into spending more time in queue in order to make sure you get paired with a healer within 10+/- MMR of you.
Unfortunately, they aren’t doing it for us. They are doing it for dps queue times. It will grab a distant healer just to finally make that queue pop for dps. Which makes me want to queue even less as a healer. gg Blizz on the negative feedback loop
The Discipline Priest class in World of Warcraft is like a well-crafted sandwich. The foundation is a sturdy layer of resilience, acting as the bread that holds everything together. The filling consists of a unique blend of healing and damage mitigation, creating a harmonious mix of support and survivability.
The healing aspect is akin to a generous spread of creamy mayonnaise, smoothly addressing the wounds of allies. Meanwhile, the damage mitigation serves as a layer of crisp lettuce, adding a refreshing touch by preventing and reducing incoming harm.
The Discipline Priest’s mastery of Atonement acts as a flavorful condiment, seamlessly combining healing and dealing damage simultaneously, much like a perfectly balanced sauce that enhances the overall taste of the sandwich.
In essence, the Discipline Priest sandwich is a delightful combination of healing prowess, damage prevention, and versatile support, making it a satisfying and well-rounded choice in the WoW class menu.
That’s the way rating works bud… even in normal arenas.
If I que with my friend who is 1400 and I’m 1800 then for every loss I go like -25 and for a win I go +3.
Solo shuffle is just kinda frustraing because your MMR isn’t as easy to control.
I’d say play to improve rather then for rating.
there you go buddy
No, not really. Arena doesn’t place you with healers way outside your mmr to speed up 40 min queue times for dps.
Except Arena doesn’t place you with anybody at all… cause you get to choose your group mates.
Hence:
Uh, no, you don’t get to choose who you face and what their MMR is. The difference is there isn’t a 40 min queue to queue up 2s or 3s, so they system isn’t putting you into a scenario where if you win, you don’t gain any CR. Except Shuffle. Shuffle does that some times.
Still facing glad healers at 1500 mmr so enjoy the 30 minute queues DPS
