MMORPG Addicts Needed

As someone who has put in the time & effort into FFXIV, it’s a rather lackluster highly overrated MMO. The people there are ‘nice’ which is a ‘pro’ I guess, but they’re much better at hiding their toxicity. It’s the same playerbase as WoW, just in a way kind of worse because at least WoW would tell you straight up. PvE in FFXIV is decent, but PVP is awful in my opinion. Housing is also another large issue since there’s a small amount of houses that my understanding are fairly expensive and you have to pay for monthly or lose the house. Veeeery slow casting and combat compared to WoW, and the RP scene is dreadful mostly ERP, Nightclubs, lacked storytelling events. Overall just not a fan – the character creation & classes/professions is probably the only good part of it. But then you become a fantasia addict. [Also Stormblood was the worst expansion, it’s horrendously dry in my opinion]

Abomination of a game. Same mob is copy & pasted and while the weapons are neat, it’s utterly boring with lackluster – but at the very least inclusive customization that is cookie cutter and outdated. Ontop of that the devs gave up on the game very early on when they bots & market crashed. It’s also incredibly grindy for professions and the questing experience was equally as lackluster as the rest of it.

Character customization is 10/10, but gameplay wise not a favorite. I can’t say much on it beyond that. However genderlocked classes is a big yikes tat hasn’t been updated. And as someone above mentioned it’s got a lot of really bad hyper-fetishing.

Old but gold. Weird keybinds. Lots of Paywalls, but utterly stunning, have to pay to actually change your character appearance which is a big eugh in my opinion. But it’s still yet rather lovely. Enchanting even – Very confusing questing though or maybe I’m just not smart enough for it. It’s not very linear? Outdated a fair bit and the playerbase is decently small.
