Heh. Dungeons & Dragons Online. No idea what server, but it was in 2014 before I started playing WoW.
Chrysalis (MUD): 94’ to 97’
Ultima Online: 97’ to 2005’
- Great Lakes and Sonoma
WoW: Feb. 2005’ to now
- Thunderhorn, Thrall, and Stormrage
During WoW did the gauntlet of Final Fantasy, SWtoR, and some others. Never left WoW though.
Waiting to see what MMO Dreamhaven puts out for my next one.
Gemstone 3, 1990. GEnie dial-up, mud-based game. Single-server game.
A Time of Legend.
A D&D style texted based adventure game a friend built for fun that we used to play on the old Intranet during our down time at work back in the early 1980’s.
Asherons Call. Frostfell server.
Ultima Online - 1997 Pacific Server
DAoC - 2001 Midgard Guinevere (Skald / Shadowzerker)
Ultima Online
1997
Catskills and Pac servers.
Char’s name was Magus and I was in The Mafia guild. My god I miss those days!
First game would have been Gemstone 3 off and on in the 90’s. Played a Dwarf Empath.
Second actual MMO was Asheron’s Call on day 1 of release. Played a, forget the race, archer on Leafcull server.
July 3, 1999 EverQuest. I made a dwarf paladin named Lugaidh, logged in and played for a few minutes. Logged out, made a dwarf paladin named Lagaidh, and played almost a year’s worth of time as that character for the next six years. Over 310 days played on that one character that I remember.
You always knew Lagaidh Smif was an original. I had the 55 base charisma to prove it. (Smacks past self.)
Edit – That character is why so many of my hunter pets are named Smif.
Gemstone III in 1996. There was only one server.
Everquest. 2000 Rodcet knife
Runescape
2006
Even till this day I’ll check my old account but on Rs3 just to remember the grind. Zezima will never be forgotten.
Also played Shimlar a text base mmorpg back in 2005 era fun times.
Everquest - 2000
Tunare
Wood Elf Druid - Kyren Runsfar
WoW, 2004, Draenor.
And now I’m sad realizing that was 16 years ago
WoW, 2007, Sisters of Elune. RIP Sisters.
Sierra Online’s the Realm in 1997.
Asheron’s Call, Thistledown.
EQOA, Hodstock.
FFXI, Siren and eventually Remora.
Everquest 1999, when game went live I started on Bertoxxulous and moved to Terris-Thule when they did server splits. Played until 2004 and quit after my guild downed Quarm and we all decided it wasn’t worth it anymore.
WoW off and on since then.
I miss the friendships that came from playing EQ, but I don’t miss the endless hours of camping spawns!
WoW is fun but has never had the same feeling.
I was on Seventh Hammer then also! Human Warrior named Mcfie!
Definitely miss UO back in the day, some of the best community in a game I’ve played to this day!
