Mists of Pandaria Classic Hotfixes - Updated December 16

Address the 10/28/25 hotfixes you cowards. Been begging to see accountability for your products- no announcement of platinum challenges nor the removal of gold from Classic/TBC raids.
Changing raids from normal to heroic difficulties are still bugged. Armor specializations bonuses still bugged. Wand-to-sword transmogs are still bugged.

So it’s just full on radio silence? We don’t get so much as the common courtesy of even a little communication about what’s going on.

Buff Survival Hunter. Having the most played spec in the entire game (most played class, too) at the absolute bottom in the upper percentiles does not do justice to the class tunings in original MOP. And using WCL skill variance as the metric for what should be buffed or not goes directly against the direction Retail is currently moving in attempting to simplify the game to bring in players. The Stormlash meta coming to Throne is going to turn off such a wide number of people, which might be the point, to get us to switch over for the release of Midnight.

Mists of Pandaria Classic

  • Vampiric Embrace once again correctly splits the healing it does across targets.
  • Corrected an issue where a small number of Paladins, Death Knights, and Shamans were simultaneously benefiting from all three of their class's armor specialization bonuses.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented encounters in instanced content from previous expansions from dropping gold as intended.

Remind me why I still can’t use lightning shield on will of the emperor without breaking cc? Fixate should not cause lightning shield to proc.

Play a different spec.

***Average Blizzard WoW Classic Update after 2 weeks of silence***

Hotfixes:

-Fixed a bug that we released intentionally to fit into our current agenda to see if we could pull a fast one.

-Corrected an issue that nobody even noticed to make it look like we are doing something because the real, obvious bugs take too much time and effort.

-New Mount added to Shop: Reins of the Blizzard Trolls. Only $120 and a sacrifice of your first born child.

We love and appreciate all of our amazing fans!! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any more issues so we can kindly ignore them

When are you going to fix the switching of difficulty modes in raids? This has been all expansion long where you cannot just toggle the difficulty like normal.

Survival Hunter needs a buff to its AOE profile with multi-shot for throne of thunder, and the explosive shot 5% nerf should be reverted for the single target profile.

Simple buff for SV

Revert ES nerf

Buff SERPENT sting rap scaling by .25

This buffs single target slightly and aoe by a good amount

  • Using Preserved Holly will no longer incorrectly change the movement speed of the player’s mount.
  • The Macabre Marionette Pet should now show up in the Battle Pet Journal.

about about fixing bloodsail buccaneers rep

I got BM and MM queue’d up also, I just need them to pick one of the three and make it relevant. Most played class in the expansion, allowing all three variations of it to simultaneously underperform is disappointing and falls quite short of the original MOP tunings. Will we look back on MOP with frustrations they asked? Absolutely, unequivocally. And I understand we’re coming off as a bit annoying now, certain Devs directly making fun of Hunters at this point even. But what else are we to do, when we’re trying to hold onto that last bit of hope and passion for the game to stay subbed in MOP while we’re already on pace to not even make it to Siege?

These progression changes for Throne of Thunder are all that a majority of the higher end guilds are holding onto at this point, and it would just be a lot more fun if we weren’t forced to go play TBC Classic again or Midnight just because of strong disagreements with the class tunings and the impending Stormlash Meta with 5+ Shamans being a hard requirement to parse. I get that other specs may have a larger skill variance on WCL, but it’s classic WoW, it’s well known to not be the sweatiest variation of the franchise.

Basing your class tunings on the metric of perceived effort sounds like a recipe to make everyone miserable, only the sweatiest thrive. But realize there’s a reason that there is 31k frost mage parses and only 12k arcane, 20k boomy parses but only 8900 feral. Their power levels are similar (depending on percentile and encounter), but people want to play what is fun and now we’re getting punished in MOP because they gave a class great mobility and we enjoyed it so we played it???

If I’m not sweating it out as aff lock or feral in Throne of Thunder, I’m just cooked? And that’s if we even have enough Shamans in the raid in the first place? We know there’s a delay until Classic+ comes out, and I don’t understand the design philosophy of leaving the most played class in the most played version of classic WoW currently as a meme. And if we’re dead-set on sticking to perceived effort and skill variance being the be all end all of class tuning guidance, then for Hunter, according to WCL, it’s time to buff BM hunter significantly for the Throne of Thunder progression changes.

Mists of Pandaria Classic

  • Death Knight
    • Frost
      • Fixed a bug where Blood Tap with Death Siphon could provide an unintended extra invisible rune.
    • Unholy
      • Summon Gargoyle will no longer cancel casts of Gargoyle Strike and will now smoothly cast them back-to-back.
      • Summon Gargoyle’s Gargoyle Strike attack can no longer go below a 0.5 second cast time.
      • Summon Gargoyle will now cast a maximum of 25 Gargoyle Strikes and then depart.
    • Shaman
      • Healing Tide Totem and Healing Stream Totem will now correctly gain critical strike chance on their spells based on the casting Shaman’s Intellect.
    • Warlock
      • The Immolate from Fire and Brimstone will now correctly work with Pandemic when used on a group of enemies, causing all active Immolates from Fire and Brimstone to gain the correct duration when refreshed.

Sounds great. I’m really hoping this is the last so-called “classic” experiment. It was a good faith attempt, but unless you have a “classic” realm where the expansion is EXACTLY as it was when live, it doesn’t ever feel like it counts. Same goes for ALL Classic Realms, and the past Classic Realms for other expansions.

The hope is that one day, we get what we were promised long ago - vanilla content on it’s own realm, nothing more and nothing less. No tweaks or adjustments. Just the game as it was. And you will have MILLIONS of players coming back. But trying to cater to those that rush constantly and don’t even appreciate it, is not helping.

World of Warcraft is amazing! And it can continue getting better and better, but only if time/money/effort is not wasted on inferior versions of it. We have retail WoW and we need vanilla content added back to it, and it can be phased as a choice for players for Azeroth, or, it should be it’s own realm but as it was when live.

We don’t need game modes or other classic realms. It would be great for all of us veterans who played WoW before TBC, would be able to continue adventuring in vanilla content, with the characters that actually experienced vanilla content. And we can’t do that because it’s not part of real WoW and we would have to create new characters. And then after we enjoyed it for a while, we would have a wasted character because it will always remain outside of WoW.

I really hope we get back to full expansions with two years of content and at least 3 major patches or more. To require more XP to gain levels because things are like 5x -10x way too fast. And to make all enemies at least twice as strong. Also, we need to be able to que for those group 3-5player boss events with silver dragon icon. So many go untouched if no one is around.

Let’s make WoW better by focusing on World of Warcraft. The only true version that exists - retail. That should always be the priority. It’s getting more and more obvious how devoting time to game modes and classic realms is affecting real WoW. If you can help make this happen, please do so.

If you want to get 10-15million players subscribed again, send me an email or msg and I’ll explain what can be done without changing WoW much. I want to see WoW continue to be great for at least another 10 expansions.

Nice.

The numbers are in, hunters have 3 bad to mid specs that will only get worse as everyone else scales better, warrior dps are way too strong to also have Skull Banner and two raid-wide defensive CDs, WWs overbuffed, all 3 rogue specs are predictably strong since you let them keep all their buffs, feral busted even without RoRo. Buff hunters, thanks.
