Mists 2nd boss tip

Posting this tip since it seems like many people do not know.

During Mists 2nd boss’ clone phase, line up yourself so dodge ball will be baited to shoot through the clone. Each ball will take off a chunk of the clone’s hp so you can get out of the phase much faster, especially if the whole team does this.

Yeh good idea, have orbs hit the wrong clone & wipe the group.

I don’t think you are understanding the strat.

If the group doesnt know where the right clone is by the time dodge balls come out its probably a wipe anyway.

I do, i just think its a waste of time considering the clone is dead in about 5 seconds flat once identified.

You line up yourself while DPSing the clone so the balls will naturally shoot through the clone.

It is multitasking, but you are not wasting any time if you do it correctly.

nice tip but the clones hp are not tuned where this is actually required. Itd be nice tho if the timing happened exactly. Usually the clones die in like 5 seconds

This is very useful once you get to around 10+, and EXTREMELY relevant on +12 with the extra scaling. It’s a change not many have noticed and it adds another dynamic to an otherwise kinda bland fight for DPS. Kudos for shouting it out.

Of all the dungeons they could have returned from shadowlands, they HAD to bring back the gimmick one.

That being said, I love meeting the people in necrotic wake who have no clue what to do on the third boss . . .

In a coordinated group this might be good, but in the pug world, I see the balls hitting the wrong clone/other party members and generally being a lot less safe than just having it aimed at nothing.

“Required” is situational. Using defensives is not “required” either in most cases. However, it helps to ensure a successful run.

I do understand some people might have difficulty pulling this off. It is probably more suited for people who are looking to push keys.
