Mission table nerf smack for night fae

Okay but only if they also strip all the rewards that were gained using the bugged troop power.
That would be “fair” right?
I failed soul ash missions 4-8 levels lower than my companions.
I failed campaign missions that were in the same level range as my companions.
I have not gotten a single pet or mount or cosmetic reward still.

You forgot the part where everyone without the sword warned you about how you shouldn’t have that yet and its going to get taken away once they notice.

You’re not supposed to be doing level 51 missions with level 26 followers. You took advantage of something that was broken.

That’s what you get for cheesing trappers for 2 months.

Enjoy the ride.

What was this about?

OP was spamming broken default followers to cheese high level missions for months.

Winning level 60 missions with level 16 followers was obviously not intended.

I’ll bet you the majority of the players just did them with no knowledge. There were already threads complaining about lack of appropriate level missions from players long before the nerf. Plenty of people didn’t even seem to realize why their missions where going up so high in level. Blame Blizzard’s faulty design and lack of action taken 2 months ago when many of us were already pointing out how lopsided the mission tables were. Most players don’t read these boards.
It’s not like this was some glitch that allowed people to double stack followers or something that would be obviously unintended.

I don’t have any personal stake in it because I don’t have any characters in Night Fae, but I think it’s pretty weak sauce to be blaming the players because Blizzard put these tables out in such a broken state and were lazy in getting on top of the problem.

If it was obviously not intended, then why was it a whole 2 months before it got fixed? Usually cheese exploits are nipped in the bud within a few days.

Sounds like Blizzard stomped out an awful unfair oversight.

First we had all the major holidays right after launch.
Then they tried to fix it but the first fix didn’t work.
This new “nerf” just made the trappers behave as intended after the first attempted fix. 20% every other round has been the tooltip for weeks. This new fix just changed the wording around. 20% for 1 round with a 1 round CD is the same end result. Only difference is that it worked this time.

I will agree though that the mission tables are very poorly done overall.
No explanation about how the difficulty works and campaign quests give enticing rewards further compounding the problem.

*edit - Still the best troops by a huge margin btw. Minor AOE dmg plus a damage reduction. They also have a healing troop that does really good ranged damage.
I don’t think any other Covenant even comes close to that for troops.

But you were okay and took full advantage of the edge your covenant had pre-nerf? Correct?

Were you as vocal and supportive for the other covenant to be brought up to Night Fae covenant?

If they were being fair with the nerf they’d have deleted Dreamweaver entirely. You should be thankful you were able to exploit the table for 2 months.

As Kyrian, it was only last week that I could successfully do the ash mission. Everything up to that point was xp missions

I don’t know why there isn’t a basic lv12 XP mission on the board at all times anyway. Seems like a glaring design oversight.

They are, yes. However, there is nothing to tell you that completing the adventure campaign progress missions does this, nor by how many levels it will increase by, and especially not the fact that XP missions will disappear entirely.

That last point is particularly nasty because we’re frequently given new level 1 followers. One would have thought it would be like previous tables and XP missions would continue to appear as long as you had followers not at max level, and that a higher campaign progress would mean higher bonus XP missions. As it turns out, yes and no. Bonus XP missions get higher as you progress, and then suddenly they vanish completely when you progress too much. Now the only way I can level up my lower level followers is to suicide run them against high level elite missions. Which, I’m sure you can imagine, is not very fun nor anima efficient

Here is the good news. It doesnt matter. You would still lose most of the time. I missed the first half of the boat on mission tables so didnt outlevel the way some people did so my people and mission are around 30ish. And perhaps this is how it is intended but I have to put actual time and consideration into deploying my troops to stand a chance and I still fail more than half.

I am not saying 4 trappers + 1 character made sense it didnt need changed.

but to be clear, I am not making the choice to spend that amount of time deciding on the mission table missions and counters and the best mix etc.

I’m just not doing them anymore. If I do I will download the addon which basically tells me the best option and I will click the button.

i have the addon. i literally cant beat any mission anymore regardless of the combination of troops/positioning. they are all level 51-60 and troops are only level 25-34. no other low level missions are being offered, this is the main point of my post.

How’d you beat the missions that’re higher than your troops unless through shenanigans?

Sounds like the mission table is working as intended.

Oh? months eh? cheese? How were we supposed to know its a bug? and how does your lame responset address the broken mission level/follower level?

not shenanigans. not our fault blizz had a bad design. if it was a “bug” it shouldve been addressed a month+ ago. You cant fault the players for utilizing in-game mechanics.
