As we previously indicated, we had an issue where some players did not receive Sparks of Tides that were due to them. Our previous remedy for this left a number of players still missing Sparks. We’re continuing to work on this, and we’re getting closer to a solution.
We expect to restore Sparks to most players who are still missing them over the next few days, and we’ll update this thread again when that effort is complete.

During scheduled weekly maintenance this morning, we addressed issues affecting players who were missing Spark of Tides items.
Additional cleanup waves will happen throughout the week, which will resolve some rare cases in which players who were accidentally granted Sparks over the cap. Those players may have some removed.
Kaivax, can you please pass along that the Arcantina quest Still Behind Enemy Portals is bugged even worse than before. Now you can’t even get up to the ship at all. We’ve waited months for this quest to come back around and I still can’t get this deco because of badly it is broken.
Yes, I put in several bug reports, too. But this is pretty time sensitive.
Sounds like we’re all just gonna end up with seven sparks. There’s no way devs are just going to yank crafted items out of players’ bags or inventories.
This really is an arch pain in the a**. Why do we even bother reporting bugs on the PTR and later the same issues in the live game yet still awaiting correction! New content is great, but how about making sure the current content is actually functional!
But you created another issue. The weekly quest for sparks of tide (Trailing Xal’Atath) is not granting sparks at completion, even though it clearly states that is a reward. As of yesterday (Monday, 8/24) I had 4/4. All good. Then, today after the reset, my characters were 4/5. I completed the quest, turned it in, and no sparks. Still 4/5. You’ll need to figure out who completed this quest successfully and grant their sparks if they haven’t gotten them some other way already.
It appears according to discussion with others on the forums that people who didn’t do quests the first week, but then crafted a piece with their 2/4 Sparks last week did not receive the replacement sparks that others have been given. Just wanted to make sure this edge case is known!
