On this character there have been 2 weeks now where I have not received a Fractured Spark of Fortunes.
Currently I am only at 2 full sparks and 0 half sparks whereas everyone else is at a minimum of 3 full sparks.
I have already opened multiple tickets and been essentially advised they can’t do anything.
A few things to note:
-
I have already completed the one time quest “A Golden Circumstance” which awards the free half spark
-
I have already completed the one time quest to turn in a half spark for a full spark
-
I have completed the Pinnacle Cache weekly quest from Faerin Lothar each week and also numerous other end game content. Pretty much everything that gives a cache, mythic plus, normal/heroic/mythic raid, etc…
-
I have also checked my inventory, bank, and warbound bank

Please make sure you are posting in the other threads about this issue, keep this issue visible! This bug has been going on for weeks and people are missing a core game mechanic with zero acknowledgement from blizzard about it.

Same issue here, tickets keep telling me to report on bug forums. C’mon blizz, please help. I am missing a whole spark.

Keep on talking about this, we wont get a fix if we aren’t VERY active about it.
Unfortunately this issue has been reported weeks ago and they seem to think everything is fine.
They didn’t deny me when I asked if the solution was to re-roll. That is what I consider the official response for now.
We will be like “spark mosquitos” buzzing around and being extra annoying until they fix this.
Seriously though, having characters weeks behind (and it’s not like they will magically get it fixed by tommorow either) is entirely unacceptable. Turns out that crafting is pretty important and having mains with a ton of effort invested into them be essentially locked out of the crafting system is unacceptable.
Blizzard has really dropped the ball here and once again an actual problem like this that affects a significant but still somewhat small group of players has totally exposed how weak their GM ticket system is. They aren’t equipped/empowered to help with actual problems and at this point it seems entirely performative like some form of “ticket theater” that simply exists to make people believe there is some form of recourse out there (when there most certainly isin’t).

The worse part is some people have reported getting fragments from GMs which makes this song and dance of “we cant help you make a bug report” even worse. Lets make sure we keep on BUZZ BUZZ BUZZING and be the best mosquitos we can be until this gets fixed!

The most frustrating part about this entire thing is I am pretty sure this was caused by a fix that was made in the name of being “fair” when it comes to sparks. They were VERY quick to want to resolve the initial issue, now they want to gaslight the people who got screwed over by it.
Agreed. Ever since that week happened my husband has been screwed (he’s still a full entire spark behind), it’s definintely related to that exploit people were involved with and the fix Blizz enacted.
I’ve been been trying to figure out the exact logic of it but it must be something on the backend since it’s character specific. He had already completed all sources of sparks (and not recieved it) before he ever turned in that “sorry for the problems” spark they gave out so it must be related.
Edit:
They must have counted those “free sparks” for some people as their weekly sparks. That’s why he’s only at 5 fractured sparks instead of 7 now (he just got this weeks half spark as I am typing this but he still can’t craft his piece yet rofl).
I guess we’ll have to wait until next week to craft something people were able to craft a week or two ago. GMs are just not going to help at all, ugh.
I’m pretty sure this is just a miscommunication between the dev team and the GMs. I had a GM reference an article about the situation where in the article it says to reach out to them if you’re short on fractured sparks. And they continue to act like it never said that.
Interesting.
He’s currently spoken to 5 different GMs now (over several weeks of non spark drops) and none of them seem to even read what he is saying. It’s so freaking disconcerting when he gives this concise step by step guide and analysis of what’s going on (week by week) and they act as if he doesen’t even know what a spark is.
It’s like what do you even do at this point? I will second that miscommunication between the team theory (especially if you are supposed to be able to reach out on fractured sparks)! If you find that article again lemme know (if it’s not too much of an ask), I’d love to take a look at it.
Thanks!
I just got another response basically telling me that it is their final response on the issue, that I am not missing any sparks, and that they verified that I am not missing any sparks.
My only recourse is to unsubscribe. I really don’t want to but I kinda have to.
I am so sorry, I feel that exact same anger myself.
I’m looking over at him (my husband) and seeing the effect of them brushing him off in this same way in spite of the logical evidence we keep presenting and it’s absolutely infuriating.
I imagine that whatever they used to “confirm” your sparks probably works like that ridiculous script does, the problem seems to revolve around the item (spark) not actually being placed into your bags (not what you are eligible for or supposed to have gotten). It’s a dev issue that the game masters simply don’t understand and aren’t equipped to help with.
If they really gave one ounce of a care, they could log into your character and see that the actual sparks don’t exist, but they wont. It’s infurating/ridiculous and I am so sorry the way they’ve treated you on this.
I don’t really know what happened to Blizzard that turned the best customer support in the world into whatever this abomination this is, but these people are certainly not fit to call themselves WoW Game Masters. I have been here since the very first day and seen great GMs, but it appears as if those days are long gone.
Ugh.
It’s so ridiculous that I have to quit the game over this. I am actually really enjoying the game but I am too stubborn to just let it go.
Comical how we are just being brushed off about this issue. Can anyone reach out to Wowhead and suggest they make a post about this? It seems blizzard tends to fix things REAL QUICK when its brought up over there. I don’t see what other course of action we have at this point(a few people unsubbing is going to do literally nothing sadly)
Same boat on this character, unfortunately realized I was permanently behind on this character after I started trying to get this character caught up.
Missing 2 Fractured Sparks of Fortune. This paladin has a total of 10 Fractured sparks while my main and everyone I know has a total of 12 as of this Tuesday. My character has completed the quests “A Sparking Fortune” and “A Golden Circumstance” and running this script shows that I should have all 12 half-sparks: /dump C_CurrencyInfo.GetCurrencyInfo(3132). However, you can see that I only have used 4 whole sparks for gear with 1 in my bags (total of 10 half sparks).
I am also missing two; this is one of the laziest things I have ever seen from Blizzard. I was around in no content Draenor as well… Customer service helps some people but does not help others. They know it’s an issue and don’t care. They even threatened to ban me when I told them to stop telling me everything is working, and I told them it wasn’t. They said to post here, and I guess, wow, devs are too busy. I asked for compensation for my time since they lied to me and I farmed for 3 weeks. So, being lied to by customer service and having my time wasted made me choose to ignore it or be banned. I paid for a fair experience this is anything but. I just wanted them to issue an apology or compensate me for the lies.
