Misclick loot can kill game

Go into Leatrix+ and uncheck “auto quest complete”.

It’s an RPG. Decisions have consequences.

A missclick isn’t a decision. Let’s say you’re moving over to select the item you decided on and there’s a glitch so the mouse gets clicked on another item. Boom, now you made the right decision and still got the wrong item.

Simply allow someone to go “oops, I wanted item B and not A”. It could be short time that you have to do this, 5 minutes would even be plenty. Yes, hold people to their decisions but don’t punish them for easily-fixed accidents.

Sounds like a personal problem.

It’s not even a big deal, gms used to be a lot cooler about these sort of things

I messed up and I want a do over??? next time you will pay attention and select the correct item. This is the same as retail. I went into a raid with my items set to tank and I watched a Tank wep drop for my loot on boss while I was dpsing LOL I got a big “LOL” in chat as the raid laughed that I had it set wrong and missed out on drops. Live with your consequences.

gosh, people, you are playing mmo rpg game. there should be near to zero blizzard intervention.
you made a wrong choice, deal with it. its not about happy customers (wtf is this logic???), its about how you play the game.

The thread is because this simply was not always the case, for people that played back in the day gms were actually very cool and would help you in very interesting ways

We had the last boss bug in nexus in wotlk once and the group wanted to put in a ticket, in less than 15 minutes a gm was in the instance as a leper gnome asking questions and finally resetting the boss, turning us all into leper gnomes and cheering us on as we fought the boss

Again in wotlk I had a quest bug out on me, a gm whispered me, joked around, teleported me to the quest target, reset it and I was able to finish this quest

In 2020 you get a copy paste email and a middle finger, and I think this is actually a bummer to a lot of folks, considering back then they would take the time and even spend some time with you

so your saying the year is 2020 and not 2004? I thought it was the same year and the exact same people working as gm’s and that the company didnt change?

GM’s don’t do it for any other reason other than consistency.
It’s not about the time invested, etc.

They want everyone’s experience to be the same even if that means it’s slightly worse overall.

Retail mentality is what it is

If you ever wonder if people dismiss what you say without bothering to read it, the answer is yes and your kind of post is the reason. Continue to post if you like but just know that when people see who made the post they’ll just move on.

o no dont ignore me MR…whoever you are across the internet… you will hurt my feelings…its 2020 my feelings matter.

I’m guessing that if I bothered to read that last post it would contain something to further prove your point

My guildie rushed to 60 by week two/three and picked the wrong 2% crit trinket for his rogue class. It’s the trinket for the ubrs quest line I believe.

He submitted a ticket saying it was a mistake and blizzard said they will do nothing about it.

Since it was a bis item for a long time he made a new rogue with the same name and deleted the old one. He quit the game a few months after release.

Just sharing his story.

The entire point of the job is to give angry people something to scream at instead of anybody else in the company.

Unless you’re looking for a free taco if you yell loud enough, your complaints will be logged… in the forums, which will be erased when the next revamp happens. Enjoy.

I did the same thing. On my druid, i choose the crit trinket instead of mark of tyranny by accident. Any feral tank that does this is ape like me. Blizzard didn’t bother with my case and like the OP I am now a scuffed version of what I could have been.

Nothing wrong with that, its a tough choice between blackhand and tyranny.
Both trinkets are great for a feral tank

Or, we live with our accidents, and make the best of them?

I submit for evidence…

Nice!

Of course, that one wasn’t too consequential other than you needed to find a new handbag to match.
