Misclick loot can kill game

Aye men to that

I think in the very beginning of WoW carrot on a stick was one of several possible quest rewards.

Imagine not picking it I mean you might as well delete your character

why? its only 3%
Half the time i forget about it since it makes such little difference

Carrot+glove+spurs is a HUGE difference

now, remove the carrot.
see much change?

Nope.
You can live without it

The difference between “Bis” and alternatives is not meaningful in practice. RNG has a larger effect statistically than the itemization difference between 2 pieces.

In short, don’t worry about it, your character is not ruined and you won’t even notice the difference.

As a mage you have exactly zero items in phase 3 that are BiS, and also rewards from quest items. Sounds like you’re being overly dramatic about the progression of your character being permanently broken. Take a breath. Less QQ more pew pew.

To quit is easy - to persevere in spite of the mistake, is golden.

speaking of which. I’m about to turn in the ony quest.

I am hpal and intend to be for the duration. Do I go with the ring that is pretty good but will likely be replaced. Or do I go with the neck that is BiS for ret for the literal life of the game?

lol - tia

Can i get a comprehensive list of everything that ‘‘kills the game’’ i’m writing a book.

I feel the same way. I have killed thousands of mobs and none of them have dropped warden staff. A GM could add that to my inventory in a matter of seconds, but so far they have refused to help me. It’s almost like giving handouts isn’t their job! The nerve of these people. I want something, and the world isn’t immediately conforming to my wants so I’m angry!

Your real issue is confusing a video game with a job.

what class did you do this on? because unless you’re a melee dps the decision is pretty inconsequential

They wouldn’t have restored your item in Vanilla either I’m pretty sure.

One piece of gear isn’t going to dictate whether or not your toon reaches it’s full potential…just wait for the next phase release and new BiS slots.

I still think this is a pretty rotten policy. People will be saying differently when it actually happens to them.

I get that it is in place to stop people from trying to switch items after a long while. You can restore an item once what every 15 days or something like that with the automatic support system.

Why not quests? This needs to be limited in duration, and a longer cool down. As if it is as short as items. People will abuse it.

I will use the Rend quest on horde as a perfect example. You have a melee crit trinket, a spell crit trinket and a tank trinket. Now picking the wrong reward here will not destroy you to bad but it will leave a sour taste in your mouth when it does happen.

In this example, say you are a bear druid. So you take the tank trinket. A few weeks later you decide you want to go kitty, so you now want the melee crit trinket. I would agree with the posters here and its done and done.

Now maybe the person clicked the wrong item by mistake, or didnt understand spell crit from melee crit. I say if you have a short time window of say 12 hours to do an automatic ticket like the item restore. It wouldnt leave such a bad taste in your mouth. I also think this should only be allowed once every 3 or say 6 months. As mistakes happen.
