Why is this pet battle still broke and unusable when those on Thread of Fate for leveling up alts? Alts can do every other Pet Battle in Shadowlands to level up but this one. Any of you Top Pet battlers have any idea why this is still broke.
Of course could be intentional for some strange reason. More likely though is that this bug is way down on the list of things for devs to fix, what with all the other things that still don’t work right.
I imagined it was because we hadn’t “unlocked” Addius via whatever questing/phasing or whatever. It is strange that he is the only one unable to be completed, though…always weird going onto an alt and they only have 3 pet battle world quests instead of 4.
Checked this out with a 60 grouped with a 55. Doesn’t seem to be a phasing issue, both players could see each other and see and fight Addius. Just that for the 55 wasn’t a WQ and no credit besides same XP he’d get from doing a wild pet battle.
Could be some unknown prerequisites involved, though don’t know anyone who’s gotten this WQ without being level 60.
Know I am late on seeing this post, but you have to be level 60 for this WQ to show up.
The area is a level 60 area. My level 60’s can see it but anyone who can not do that area yet will not be able to see it. That area does not scale to your level, the mobs stay at 60. So if you run in there at 55 hoping to get to the pet battle area, you will be out of luck and probably dead before you get to the flight master.
While we’ll never know Blizzard’s logic behind so many parts of this game, fact remains that my 55 was able to get to Addius with no difficulty (admit he was a stealthed Druid). Then the pet trainer isn’t near any 60 mobs and there are no patrollers in the area.
A well-geared 59 or 58 could also handle it without stealth so seems a bit weird that just one of the 16 WQ pet battles is gated behind ILvl. But again, we’ll probably never know.
