I still have not reached 90 on my first character, and after doing some thinking about it… I’m okay with it. I’ve no plans to push normal or mythic raiding as of yet and pvp may only be a casual endeavor (ha) compared to housing, so pushing all my characters to 90 as quickly as possible is not something I want.

Most of all, I’m enjoying the prey system. Being out in the world and suddenly having something appear out of nowhere to either make me pay attention or learn my class real fast has been a treat. I’m only able to do about one hunt per day so far due to IRL time constraints, but I have a target for each zone so I’m never safe.

I’ve fooled around with herbalism and alchemy so far. I still don’t understand profession knowledge or the job request board thing. Just let me gather my herbs and make potions, dammit.

I’m at 83, and I’m cool. One of the things I was worried about happening has - I’m torn between wanting to level and wanting to play with the doll house. It’s not playing out as I thought though, I’m a cool with it. I’m doing housing stuff first. I don’t feel the need to try and do everything all at once. There’s a lot of stuff I want to do, but I don’t feel driven to everything now. That’s a good feeling.

I don’t have the bandwidth to get into questing during the week (unless I"m off from work). And for the first time in my WoW history, I just am not going to force myself to do stuff that I’m just not ready/able/feeling to do. The quests will still be there on saturday when I can sit down and do them in chunks. Housing stuff (including Endeavors) works for me during the week, when I only have an hour or 2 and I can just piddle around in the house.

Housing has changed how I approach and how I play. And I think that is very good thing.

Was on a roll and currently 87. Now I’m standing in SM, staring at Alonsus because he won’t give any of us a portal.

Idk if it is by design or not but I did have to just fly myself to Lights Hope.

Lights hope was fine, but wouldn’t get the portal to Hammerfell. Someone on bug forum found a fix. I am now moving back along…

Mythics were a lot of fun. I’m curious to see how the four legacy dungeons will pan out - especially Pit of Saron.

I’ve found myself liking the side quests more than the main campaign this time. There’s a crazy amount of detail in some of them. Check out the Nethersent storyline if you haven’t already, then do it again with a draenei, a man’ari, or a warlock. It recontextualizes a lot. I’m curious what other storylines are there like this.

I know that one really seems to care about follower dungeons, but the idea / intent behind them is (imo) one of the best things Blizz has ever put out.

The delivery is absolutely abysmal. These bots are pathetic. Even the worst random LFG dungeon is better than this.

ETA: I’ve basically gone AFK at this point and am watching YT while the useless bots are stuck, because they don’t know how to walk around a corner. The Pally tank is literally the only one doing anything. Healer is afk

This is actually funny at this point. Pally has been rezzed.

No one is following the Pally. I have to lead them around the turns if I want them to follow.

jfc.

oh thank god, last boss.

Hunter about to die. Pretty predictable. OMG The huner got bounced back outside the fight and can’t get back in.

SHAMAN DOWN

So, apparently everyone can die in a follower dungeon.

Try 2 - all the bots except me and the Pally got locked outside the fight.
ETA: Me and the pally 2 manned the fight. I got a bookshelf.

It’s a good thing I have a sense of humor.

I’m holding out hope that they’ll let us do follower dungeons with more memorable characters. The people from Exile’s Reach are fine and all, but 1) Broken Bots as hell, and 2) With all we’ve got with delves lately, it’d be a shame to not let us have an adventuring party with more characters from the lore.

Played for about an hour today. Got stuck in combat and couldn’t heal or change armor. I’ll give it another couple days.

I’m gonna staple, gorilla glue, whatever it takes to hold that stupid hunter follower down. He bounces around like Sonic on crack and I’m internally cringing, anticipating the whole dungeon getting pulled by his antics.

I used to not mind the follower dungeons. Now I think normals would be better. I just wanted no competition on the decor though :joy:

Haranir unlocked!

I’m gonna be honest, I just rampage through Follower Dungeons purely so I can explore and poke into all the little corners and nooks without needing to wait 2 years for my ability to solo them, or dealing with frothing Hapsburg-expies thrashing themselves bloody against the walls, increasing my stockpile of new slurs when they communicate about any minor problem, and leaving massive amounts of enemies still faffing about because ‘The Meta/Speedrun Strats/Favorite Streamer Trips’ demands we twerk our way along this wall and nearly fall to our death to avoid one single patrol that could be taken out by turning around, dropping our strides and farting in their general direction.

I don’t care if they’re licking the windows right now. I love these bots and wish we got actual interaction with them in the Game World itself so we’d give a damn about them.

Even with all the glitches and bugs, it’s still less stressful than running PUGs.

I keep seeing people RPing in various spots. I saw some people RPing in Voidstorm. My friend got an interaction while we were in Eversong and she was leveling. There’s a social presence that I haven’t seen in quite a while going on right now.

The game world feels alive. Though, it is only week one. We’ll see how that holds going forward. I have mixed feelings on the Arcantina. It feels like Blizz was trying to throw us a bone on a place to RP, but also it’s sometimes so chaotic it’s not worth it?

I ‘unno. I’m waiting to see how things shake out when everyone is done with leveling and story and where people settle for roleplay.

Death Knight feels good, though. It’s got me actually wanting to look for a Mythic or PvP group to do stuff with.

1 - Is decor really a group loot? You have to roll for a piece of furniture?

2 - That hunter bot is absolutely bonkers. He kept running away from the fights to the point that he seemed to be heading back to the beginning of the dungeon. I think he died 2 or 3 times.

The Healer (tauren bot) was literally facing the walls and not doing anything or just standing there watching at least 90% of the time.

The shaman was almost as bad as the hunter and bouncing all over.

The Pally tank was pulling every mob in a 100 mile radius they didn’t need to pull.

Again, I realize that no one seems to care about follower dungeons but ffs Blizz this is such a great feature / option. PLEASE work on these bots.

The bots are incapable of following around curves or corners entirely. At one point, I had to slow walk, just so I could get them to follow along.

I don’t do PUGs (unless it’s a Remix) and I have no friends who play WoW, so Follower Dungeons are the only way I can explore current dungeons until I can solo them later on.

It really sounds like your followers have been in the catnip! The pally is usually the only follower that spazzes out on me. She will does not remain in one spot very long while tanking and moves around like she is doing Australian freestyle breakdancing. It is quite entertaining at times!

Yup in LFG and premades, it’s rolling for it. Soloing (ofc) gets it to you 100%. Follower dungeons solo work best.
I always had to roll on the fountain from Spellblade in Nighthold during Lemix.
I also used the follower dungeons for TWW to get the decor out of Priory, Darkflame and Cinderbrew (the windows were nice out of Cinderbrew). So I’d use any 80s you got to run TWW follower dungeons until you can solo the TWW dungeons on 90s.

Oh yea..I was using the void orb thingy from TWW delves while leveling (forget the name of it) and every time I’d use it, she’d move EVERYTHING out of the aoe..was getting on my nerves.

Oh. I was wondering why the druid seemed to be hyped up on energy drinks or something in the follower dungeon. Suppose they gotta get their steps in. I leveled using Brewmaster though and found the follower dungeons to be a bit of a slog…Slower even than the average dungeon finder group even when I did suitably large pulls appropriate for a tank spec.

I think I’m just used to being over geared for them like I was in TWW and just melting everything but on the other hand..I should’ve been melting these ones like pre level 85-86. Instead I got overinflated health pools that only seemed to get worse when I hit 88-90.

I too love the bots, bugs are better than the low-IQ window lickers any day.
