Midnight Elf Bonanza

They’d better hire Michael Dorn and have him voice a Draenei character just for that scene!

While also getting rid of the headache that is the Alliance having access to a space ship with a space to surface laser cannon. I mean there is a reason why Blizzard “simply forgot” it existed during the War of Thorns.

Vanilla had faction only ones [4 Alliance, 4 horde]
TBC had a neutral one & faction only ones [1 alliance, 1 horde]
Wrath had a neutral one
Cata had faction only ones (reprised from vanilla)
MoP had faction only ones
WoD had faction only ones
Legion had a neutral one (reprised from Wrath)
BFA had faction only ones
Shadowlands had a neutral one
DF had a neutral one
TWW had a neutral one

So that is
6 expansions that had faction only ones (if we include TBC due to Exodar and Silvermoon, and Cata despite reprising SW and Orgrimmar for A & H respectively)
6 expansions that had a neutral one (if we include TBC due to Shattrah and Legion reprising Dalaran from Wrath)

So saying we normally get one city hub (implying that they were neutral) is incorrect.

Unless you were grouping faction only ones as “one” as only one faction can access them.

I dont really consider the racial capitals as “expansion hubs” because these are suppose to be “forever homes” for the races. An expansion hub city is more like a place we stay to focus on the expansion enemy of the day. So that would be the Shattrath being the first.

Cata was always that special case of yeah, the main expansion hub is basically them refubishing the Human/Orc city and also making it the defacto City for their respective faction.

TBC has Shattrath
Wrath had a neutral one
Legion had a neutral one (reprised from Wrath)
Shadowlands had a neutral one
DF had a neutral one
TWW had a neutral one

Anyway that is my count for expansion hubs.

I don’t know if we’re getting Silvermoon City as a neutral hub. I honestly don’t think we will. I honestly expect Silvermoon City will instead become a hub for the void.

We’ll get a neutral hub, certainly. Blizzard has tried to avoid seperating the factions unlss there’s a faction war story going on (and WoD, where the “hubs” were ad hoc camps next to the world BG), and I don’t see that changing soon.

I think it more likely that we all huddle up together in somewhere new-ish. Maybe a rebuilt and expanded Windrunner Spire or the Isle of Quel’Delas (with the Sunwell itself inaccessible so it can be a future raid again), or some brand new and previously unmentioned island off the coast.

But I do not see it being Silvermoon City, when they could instead do a whole story campaign about reclaiming the city, where Lor’themar “realizes the error of his ways” or some bullcrap, and de-exiles all the high/void elves or some crap.

He’s a Horde leader, after all. He cannot be shown in the right when it might make the Alliance feel bad.

Silvermoon better not become neutral.

Guess we’re going to have to Exile them the old fashion way.

Or else Ere will go to Blizzard HQ and make a very mean face

It’s one thing I agree with Erevien on though. I didn’t like the Gilneas thing either.

Not many people I know who did like how it turned out

They should have just rebuilt a place for the Forsaken and had us be there or still stationed in Brill.

They should stick with creating neutral cities, but never turn already faction allied cities neutral. I just feel strongly that neutrality should be an option.

Send them to a beach in Wraeclast to be eaten by cannibal zombies.

THIS WORLD IS AN ILLUSION, EXILE.

Gilneas is extra weird because the Overcity turns hostile once Alliance complete the Forsaken reclamation quests. Voss and Calia even beat a hasty retreat after the worgen ones, observing that peace with Gilneas is a bit much to hope for so quickly, so I wonder if someone just forgot to flip a switch somewhere.

It wouldn’t shock me honestly. Given their history with the worgen and all.

Yeah. Before it came out, I was increasingly certain the Gilneas thing would suck, and unfortunately, I was right.
