Midnight definitely feels like WoW 2.0 to me

Well seeing as now WoW has over 9 million subs, i’d say they’d be fine for quite awhile.

I disagree in fact the entire expansion can be slop but housing …let me tell you it will attract one of the most devotred bunch of players to even log on I am talking about RPers.

See right now Square kind of cornered the market on RPers with detailed player housing and the use of Mare. However the housing is limited in number meaning very few players have anything bigger than apartments. Between that and Square taking down mare has caused Many RPers to lose trust in FFXIV …However witrh Midnight bringing in player housing you can bet a large influx of RPers will be swarming Moon gaurd and WRA and once we are welcome we are very reluctant to leave as long as blizzard does not do another shadowlands with the lore or directly attacks us like square did …once we did our roots in we are going nowhere.

I lost 2 buttons on WW, both are cooldowns and one I didn’t like anyway.

The spec plays almost the exact same. I’m sure other specs feel much more different, but of the 7 classes I’ve copied over to beta so far, all either feel better or similar to me personally.

It’s a bust for me, which is a shame, because I really liked the delves feature and didn’t get to play much of TWW. But the changes to the classes I enjoy have been annoying at best and game breaking at worst. I don’t care much about the addons or housing but the game loop of the few specs I used to enjoy is now less enjoyable. Maybe I’ll come back after the first major content patch to see if they’ve fixed them.

If this was true they wouldn’t even have a sub fee because free to play would introduce potential millions of FTP players to the cash shop

I refuse to go through yet another pruning cycle only to have them reintroduce the pruned spells and abilities 2 expacs later

I am not doing that again. If y’all want to be manipulated again then have fun :victory_hand:

“Undo all the changes from DF and TWW” like what? Button bloat ?

WoW isn’t a new game, there’s not a huge untapped market.

I left after MOP… and just came back in the last few months.

I can do that again next year if Midnight is as bad as it looks.

Shh, let them live in their fantasy that no one ever quits the game they enjoy when it becomes not fun.

I took a break from Wrath until the middle of Legion. A random video on YouTube brought me back.
I stayed until the end of BfA, even though I thought BfA was absolutely terrible, but I’d found a nice community, which made it hard to quit.
However, we hated the game more and more and eventually almost everyone left one by one. Since then, I drop in for single months now and then, like now for Remix, but I don’t really play actively anymore.

I didn’t buy TWW at all, for example. Now I got it for free and I’m still not motivated to play through it. It’ll probably be similar with Midnight. Based on how things look so far, I won’t be getting that either.
I’m enjoying Remix, but after that I’ll probably be gone again for a while.

I feel like Midnight is more like 1.5 definitely some fundamental changes and player housing is a game changer but we still have The Last Titan I feel they have one more evergreen feature they’re going to do I thinking Armor dyes or some other deep character design customization there saving the we get in to WoW 2.0

Class skins hopefully - armor dyes would be such a lame feature and let down. We got transmog and housing. There are plenty of people who actually play the current game and not just collect mogs one shotting 15 year old content

I just read what they are doing to disc and holy priests… how could they approve that this is atrocious

I think its gonna be like SL, where only RPers will sit in the house all expansion

Yeah some classes are doing good while other classes not so hot (eg mages)

:surfing_man: :surfing_woman:

Even that is not so simple as “mages not so hot”, its really only one spec of mage that is generally regarded as having a bad rework so far. Most of the testers I’ve seen trying Arcane are positive about it, and while the responses to Frost are pretty varied its definitely not simply bad. One of the writers for Icy Veins who’s been testing extensively just put out a “Top 3 best spec reworks in Midnight” video and Frost mage was on that list. All of this is subjective to fun, but I don’t think its fair to simply say that mage is not looking good. Maybe Fire specifically.
