I was not impressed at all with this cinematic. The flow was terrible. Everything was off beat. There was way too much talking. Xalatath monologuing like she was just revealed the first time again. No big boss reveal. Liadrin looks terrible. There was no hype build up to any satisfaction. They tried but it was a terrible delivery. We’re about to be 2 expansions in to this hyped up saga and I am left wondering where the hype is. Now I’m just left wondering how bad they can mess up The Last Titan’s cinematic reveal.

Same thing happens when a movie trailer comes out. You would think that they would tell the entire story including how it ends so we don’t have to actually go to the movie.
It’s a trailer, not the release of Season 1.

They didn’t reveal the big boss at the start of TWW either. Shadowlands is probably the only recent expansion that’s revealed the boss at the start, and that didn’t help it at all.

Its supposed to build hype FOR the game. It didn’t do that for me. TWW did the same thing. I bought that game and stopped playing it 2 months into it.

I watch all of this, the cinematic, No Hype Holly on stage, the sad info being dolled out on access websites. It just feels depressing. It doesn’t feel like Blizzard cares anymore. Feels like we are in maintenance mode.

I’m not. I criticized that too and made a whole post about TWW killing hype for Midnight that got a lot of interaction. I’m not sure why you would jump to such a conclusion over a post like this. “Midnight sucks so that means he really liked TWW.” Thats a whole different discussion…

Agreed, where was Chris? He’s always been the WoW hype man. Holly is great behind the scenes (imo) but her hype delivery leaves something to be desired.

Technically it’s barely even the full release trailer, just an appetizer, it’s the tiny bit in the middle, like the Emberthal reveal.
