Midnight Amani - Hopium or Copium

Do we think they’re going to make the Amani eventual allies due to the threat of the void and the fact pretty much no one slapped down the old gods/voids harder than the Trolls did originally?

Or are we going to get some lore butchering and have the newest Amani warlord side with the void for power to destroy the elves?

If we get Armani Trolls as an Allied Race I hope they come with bigger bags and a Tailoring racial.

That might depend on if they go for the ones from Zul’aman or the ones in the Hinterlands as the ones that become the allied race. I am 1/2 way expecting we will have to lay the smackdown, not due to the new warlord joining the void to kill the elves but the new warlord using the distraction of the void to do damage to the elves.

Haven’t the Amani and the high elves been at war for thousands of years? How would a new chief siding against elves be more butchering?

I think the butchering might be more the how they do it instead of the fact they do it, I.E. do they accept the aid of the void or just use the issues the elves are havibg with the void to cover their attacks and strikes on Elven lands.

I could at least understand that, its what they did when Arthas steam rolled them

Bro they were at war with the old gods/void before you were even a twinkle in your daddys eye

and if that is the case, then we have to lay the smackdown to free up needed resources to deal with the void.

To be fair, Trolls aren’t a long lived race. The Armani trolls living today didn’t fight any wars against the Old Gods. They did fight against the Elves though.

It’s a lot easier to hate someone you fought a few years ago than someone your distant ancestors fought 16000 years ago.

Um… They were the first mortal race on Azeroth…

What I mean is that they don’t live for thousands of years.

The Troll race has been around for a long long time. Individual Trolls have not.

As an orc, the closest thing the Amani has ever had to friends, I am willing to join the war on the side against the Elves

Tbh with how much they care about their ancestors and history, I could see the history they had being the OG old god crushers as being important

The original villain who threatened your kingdom does take priority

You do realize these are the same Amani that Zul’jin led, right? The same Zul’jin the Blood Elves tortured?

That would be the Elves, my man. The Old Gods weren’t a thing except that one time.

Yes. I’m not sure what your point is.

If they ally with those who have massacred them at least three times, I will find it strange, but it would be less bad than them being enemies again. Maybe some are truly from the void or do not accept the Elves, since they built their glorious city on top of their sacred cemetery. So I think we will kill some, but the main ones will ally and will forget these small problems from the past.

The Amani hate the Blood Elves. They won’t join the Horde.

That’s what I said.

What if silvermoon situation is so dire that the elves are forced to give up some of the original city as territory to the Amani so they get some of their ancestral home back, and get the bonus of the entire planet not being consumed by their original enemy?

I don’t think that hating each other is actually a barrier. Elves also hated Orcs just as the Zandalari and Pandaren hate each other, and yet they join hands as if they were comrades.

so for you the smackdown might be more the “wake up, you have an enemy that does not care if you are a troll or an elf, it wants you all dead or in service to it” not “you can’t fight against the elves” as much as “deal with the more dangerous threat first, then fight the elves to your hearts desire”.

All fo them? likely not, a faction of them, like the ones in the Hinterlands? quite possibly.
