I miss cataclysm Garrosh too
Mmm, perhaps “outsourcing” wasn’t quite the right term to use here.
Most aren’t intentionally seeking out opinions to use in place of their own. The way it usually happens is people start out as viewers of a streamer/youtuber, follow for a while, start to feel as if they “know” the streamtuber personally, and become fans. The streamtuber becomes a trusted source of info for their fans, and without realizing it they start giving the streamtuber’s opinions more credence than deserved and even get defensive of said opinions, driving those opinions to be internalized thanks to the emotional involvement. The fans at this point are thinking that their opinions are their own and just happen to align with those of the streamtuber’s, but in fact little or no critical thought was involved. Instead, the seemingly-trustworthy streamtuber proposed an opinion that sounded sound enough and fans unwittingly ran with it.
Of course, plenty of people haven’t succumbed to this effect, but it’s incredibly common. Before the age of social media and internet video, this effect had been repeatedly demonstrated with traditional media in the streamtuber’s place. We’re all far more susceptible to suggestion than we think we are.
Until blizz stop designing game-play based on metrics and set out to create worlds and social experiences
I am certain most people here have never heard the term “Poop rolls down hill.”
Screw Metzen. All these fan boys that praise him, I’m sure he did a lot for the company but he had his mental breakdown cause he built himself up so big, ran out of ideas, and couldn’t deliver. He’s probably part of the problem at the end of the day. I hate ignorant people and he’s one.
You hate ignorant people, yet your reasoning for hating him is wild speculation you pulled from your nether region. What a stupid, stupid post…
