No – lynching deprives people of their life. That is a penalty that can only be imposed by the state following criminal law standards of proof and a trial.
“Doxxing” does not deprive anyone of their life or their liberty, which is what the criminal justice system does.
If you are very concerned about doxxing and its ill effects, the way to address that is to lobby the government to pass laws about it, where people who wrongfully dox others are subject to penalties – then you get your different standards, based on what that law says (civil, criminal, what have you). Otherwise it’s just like anything else someone does that may be invonvenient for you – if it rises to the level of a tort, you can sue them. Otherwise, you can’t.
But in any case, doxxing isn’t lynching.

A lot of streamers are speaking atm. But not specifically on this one.
A few days ago confirmed allegations against the head of the online media group OPG and some of their content creators were made. Many of these content creators admitted and apologized to these claims.
And the head of OPG stepped down. And many streamers opted to leave OPG in response to all of this. That event started a ripple effect of many other people coming out across a majority of the gaming community.

Calling someone out and getting them fired from their job because they failed to live up to commonly upheld social standards is not the purview of law enforcement. This guy isn’t facing any legal action because of twitter.
So no, this is not “vigilante justice”.

So from what I’m growing to understand about this whole affair is that Method basically harbored a player while he was under investigation from authorities about sexual misconduct with an underage girl, and is now playing damage control by dropping him? If so…

It’s one thing to be quiet about maybe a friend doing something irl (definitely not advocating but friends will be friends), but for an entire organized team to be hush-hush about someone getting it on with/grooming a minor is beyond disgusting. Disgust doesn’t even do it justice.
