no. it should never come back, it never made sense for warlocks. warlocks dont turn into demons they subjugate them, metamorph on warlocks never has and never will make any damn sense

Yea, but was a huge loss personally. DH doesn’t begin to scratch the itch that warlock meta satisfied.

What do you mean? It makes perfect sense, theres even a whole group of trolls called Demoniacs that subjugate demons by trapping them within their own bodies to empower their magic and fighting.

DH fantasy and warlock meta fantasy are two similar but very distinct things.

The greenfire questline even explains why warlocks learned their version of meta, and thst demonolgy used to be about using fel enerfy to empower yourself. But indomt get why people get so bent out of shape for simple cosmetic options

Ironically the Hero Power that turns us into a purple Demon of sorts isn’t available to Demonology.

Nobody questioned it back when we had it lmao.
This is just a perspective post DH.

Warlock Metamorphosis was not pretty, it was not even removely aesthetic and so weren’t the animations. The Hellcaller Malevolence spell is way better in aesthetics, and the DH Metamorphosis is an enhanced form of what Warlock’s Metamorphosis was. And toggle on/off? How would that even make sense? If they decided to add Metamorphosis back to Warlock they should just give it as a burst spell already (and remaster it).

I am not against that though.

They could give Incinerate and Shadow Bolt to every spec, but nothing else.

I like how people think that “we just want a cosmetic option, why are you against options” shields them from all criticism.

Warlock Metamorphosis is never returning to retail WoW. It doesn’t matter what options you want or what lore justification you have, it’s never returning.

Quit yapping - no one cares about any of that.

What we do care about is receiving the option to use metamorphosis again because it was integral to our identity.

It never feels great to be given something and then have it snatched away in support of “class identity”.

Why can’t both warlocks and demon hunters have their own version that functions differently?

Some of you people on these forums are severe purist and one track minded to a fault.

There can be no progression with folks like you.

I want a fel melee spec like Enhancement for Shaman.

It would be good for that. But I don’t want to be a tank so.
