I play with some rad people on a very very low population realm that suffers from people transferring off almost daily. We don’t want to have to plan a mass exodus to a medium pop realm, and people will be left behind.
Is there any serious plan to support low population realms that only have 50-100 people on a day? Transferring off just seems like it worsens the experience for those that stay on these “dead” realms
This is very much intentional. Every transfer is a $cha ching$ to Blizzard. Once TBC launch comes and the mega servers everyone have been transferring too get a 10k+ queue the big game of server musical chairs starts all over.
This is the reason the game launched with like 3-5 PVP servers for the entire U.S.

Blizzard already DID merge CE realms – a lot. That happened around March 14, 2021. Didn’t you notice?
Blizzard will NOT merge TBC realms, before TBC is even launched. The population could change a lot (tens of thousands of players) in the next month.
Why? Because that is EXACTLY what happened the 3 previous times that WoW had an expansion with a boost (to the lowest level in the expansion). It happened 3 times before. It would be ridiculous to assume it will NOT happen this time.
Unfortunately, they have a system where they milk as many players as possible, for transfer money, before they think about doing more server merges. As long as there is cash-flow coming in from unhappy players transferring servers, they don’t care if it’s miserable to play on your server, because it’s a ghostland of empty space and 3 active guilds. They’d rather you get unhappy and pay for a transfer, than provide a good gaming ecosystem.
They want your money, not your happiness with the game they operate for profit.
Give 1000g to those who transfer to low faction realms and then disable transfers for that character for the expansion

Blizzard wants you to buy server transfers instead of providing a better gameplay experience. Priorities? It’s pretty disgusting.

yeah anti-fresh went alt swaping and flagged one of the fresh server threads. i think they are getting nervous because more and more unhappy with this launch.
Well some people prefer vanilla, some prefer TBC, some prefer wrath.
I prefer classic, but with my community gone and the content done I’d rather just unsub till we get fresh vanilla.
pretty much what has been going on. had quite a few say the same thing. comes down to why pay for something you do not want. you know.
We need communication on this. Running a guild with people talking everyday about wanting to move is exhausting and it’s a huge undertaking to try and align everyone to leave together / alts / etc.
Saddly im from Incendius Horde and I feel everyone’s pain. Our server is about 95+% Alliance . Its a struggle to make a dungeon group and we get gank all the time by several players camping our corpses. I am disgusted by how blizzard would rather just milk you (although we are already paying 15$ a month + games) than give people in our position a fun and proper gaming situation. I will not pay for transfers, I have canceled my subscription, I’ll see you if the problem is fixed
