Paladins Gutted

remember when hunters said they weren’t gonna get nerfed cuz they are the “only pure dps class” lol :expressionless:

OP’s search history:

“SOD Phase 2 dps tier list”
“SOD Phase 2 pvp tier list”

I’m a warrior main.

I’m leveling a Hunter right now.
It is by far the easiest class to play in the game from level 1.

You can do so much more than any warrior could ever hope to do my dude.

And nothing of value was lost!

Don’t know why the forum crybabies expect the only pure dps class left in SoD to not - at the very least - perform more than competitively.

Now they have one spec (melee) that will perform about average to other melee (probably a little ahead), and one spec (ranged) that is literally almost as bad as Frost mage in PvE. But they can ONLY DPS. :person_shrugging:

Lone Wolf nerf, Chimera Shot nerf, Explosive nerf, scorpid nerf, pet scaling nerf, kill command nerf, world buff on pet nerf, wind serpent nerf, BM rune nerf, Raptor Strike nerf

who designed the runes for this class  maybe they should sit the next one out

The discussion is the OP is mad that they’re not #1 just through their class alone.

The problem isn’t the nerf. The problem is that there is a constant thread of nerfing the actually over-powered items without actually offering solutions to things that are VERY much behind.

Ranged runes (Steady shot, marksman, etc.) are all still VERY bad choices for the class whereas items that actually worked (Dual wield spec) are nerfed into oblivion and yet we keep the other problems around (Fire Mages, sorry guys…).

This trend is constantly happening with Frost Mages, That One Warlock Spec, Rogues, etc. Luckily rogue TANKS are getting some love, but it’s very slow.

I see, that’s at the very least one persons view of the situation.

My main complaint is the hyper fixation on hunter nerfs when logs CLEARLY have others above or at the very least near. I understand the pet nerfs as I personally saw people get one tapped in PVP. But that’s a whole ‘nother discussion. Separating PvP issues and PVE issues.

I played warrior in 2019 and it’s easier.

from level 10 you mean :stuck_out_tongue:

pre-pet hunters are kind of goofy to play

shrug
I think it’s because hunter is performing /too/ well.
They already adjusted Chimera Shot twice, once to nerf it, and a second time to unnerf it a little bit.

They are trying to balance but it’s like they really aren’t sure how.
I can’t imagine it’s as simple as we think it is.

here it is. “muh only pure dps class”. lol :expressionless: it’s nonsense.

Yes and… no. There are a lot of variables, sure! But we’re in classic WoW not Retail where there aren’t a TON of gimmicky trinkets and set pieces that could completely alter and change how the class functions. At most we just have some DPS CD’s and such.

A rotation should have been added instead of relying on 1 singular ability (Raptor Strike) and COMPLETELY ignoring Mongoose Bite and Carve / Flanking Strike damage. Pouring it into 1 ability was their biggest downfall with the spec.

And why is that ‘nonsense’?

We’Re In ClAsSiC aNd ClAsSiC iS EaSy
Keeps pots on CD during every fight
Watches raid videos instead of figuring the fight for themselves
Follows leveling guides
Uses Deadly Boss Mods
Simplifies as much of the game as possible with mods like Pally Power
Uses Questie

I agree with this. Empowering Raptor Strike so heavily without making any of the other abilities (Mongoose, which is only usable when being attacked, so not useful for PvE raiding) not scale on weapon damage leaves the toolkit with just one strong ability, and a rune on a 30s cd (with variable chance to reset) that further props it up.

I’ve seen hunters tank with defensive pets before. Time to pay the hybrid tax :expressionless:
