Well I heard the bosses armor is all bugged and so I hope they reduce it.

same. honestly have no issue w rogues killing people in a CS (if they use thistle) or kidney even this is just WoW. this knee jerk reaction to nerf something bc i cant walk up to it and keyboard turn in front of it needs to stop before it ruins the game

and its basically unplayable in PvP unless you’re fighting braindead idiots

I tried surv in open world and I def prefer full BM. Beastial Wrath ignoring all cc and getting a stun is just too good and make it impossible to peel off a healer.

I’m currently running the Ravager as well. Need to get myself a really solid 2Her for this spec still. Dual wielding with trap launcher isn’t really good since the burst is so low due to the 1H damage on Raptor striking.

I’ll sum up all these threads:
1.) Blizz makes meme gamemode.
2.) makes meme specs from back in the day strong
and fun.
3.) Sweaty tryhards think they can finally be “epic.”

Yeah but warriors and hunters do not receive equal treatment.

I think Full BM once you get the epic Gun from Gnomer is going to be the way to go in PvP. I hear it does absolutely insane multi-shot damage. So BM Gloves, Trap Launcher, Flanking Strike for when melee gap close and probably the Melee specialist belt still since the other options are trash and it just helps much more against melee gap closing.

Oh and running Lion on chest.

All in all as for balance in PvP I really hope they just raise Health values more since it seems like Burst from alot of specs is pretty insane. If they bumped up HP to match some of the damage coming out I think it would feel much smoother.

That’s what I’m thinking is going to be the go-to for Hunter in PvP. Especially with the Gnomer epic gun. It’s gonna crush in PvP.

So we all agree the new melee dw rune only adds a little advantage to hunters in PvP. While ppl seems to forget rogues get ranged attack , and ranged de cc which they were meant no to have back in classic so that ppl can have a change to get away from rogues to avoid to be forever stun locked. That is called unbalanced

so another major piece of this that could see attention is melee hunter ranged throughput. if i cant make it to sledgehammer in melee, i hit like a rubber mallet at ranged. it’s not 500 dps but it’s definitely not 0

as u elude to w rogues, another way of balancing melee hunter is to reduce ranged damage. would b reasoned and reasonable and not a keyboard turner mouthbreathing neckbeard change

im probably one of the few ppl that appreciates the choice btwn lion and lone wolf. 1 is for raids the other pvp, and it finally feels like a good, clean choice. ofc gloves is carve for either situation.

Ranged dmg is already nerfed if you go melee. Same as any other classes onec you pick up a spec the spells in other two spec will stay weaker. If you go aff lock, your pet and des spells are rather weaker, no need to nerf them further down.

You mean hunter got like 13 nerfs, and p2 is time for warrior and rogues to taste the nerf candy

Anyone saying that hunters don’t need nerfed clearly isn’t lvl 40 yet. Once you all get 1 shot by a melee hunter a few times then they’ll be in here asking for them to get nerfed.

ye, this can be fixed by adding ramp up.

make damage take 5 FS stacks. it’s then “combo points.”

not if ur running survival LW - then you’re pretty close to MM shot dmg sans AS and doing more rdps than BM. probably an issue.

anyway not that any of these well-reasoned changes will ever be implemented. itll just be nerf X by Y coefficient so that W+R are back top of pack

I see your point, since pets get killed or cced first in PvP, hunters might just use lw to get that dmg burst and hoping for kill ppl in range. But this is a build ppl use since vanilla, aimed shot hits hard as an opener, since sod everyone gets more less buffed. Still not seeing it’s too op that hunters killing everything.

i agree but im floating stuff out there so we dont get nerfed. there are way more messed up classes out there. but devs see numbers on a chart and go brrrrrr

It doesn’t matter who’s on top. Someone will always be on top and someone will always be at the bottom. The goal should be to have the gap between them be as small as possible. It’s fine if hunters are top dps, but when their dps is 20%, 30%, 50%, or more than other damage specs, then something is wrong.

I don’t think this is usually the case – it’s this way w warriors in era. i think the problem here is confirmation bias.

the community doesn’t like hunter pvp. they’ll see the logs and it’s just more evidence they were right to cry (right?).

that’s the issue. how do devs respond to the community whining. not really whether a class performs against a target dummy
