The fact that we got Nightborne, Blood Elves, and Vulpera in the Horde before Ogres… makes me sad.
Also how are you supposed to be the big bad Horde and you don’t even have Ogres?

you had me at the title
i think its a nice idea and i am on board with it. didnt even need to read your post.
i wanna make an ogre with a big ol beard and have him in a vest and ill ride around on a chopper, i can see it now lol
I need a two headed ogre shadow priest. It has to be done.
What if Ogres were only playable on the Alliance?
I’ll do you one better! You have to grind out the rep on a Horde character.
id just kill myself i guess
Why would they be?
Why not it makes as much sense as anything else in game.
This isn’t going to turn into “high elves had to wait now you know how it feels” is it?
Seen that going around a lot of late and this feels like it’s veering into it.
I digress.
It doesn’t make sense cause the Horde already has ogres in it.
Not sure what you are talking about but who cares.
Of course, it make sense. Anything makes sense now in game with the way the lore has been brutalized.
hey man I just want some ogres already. Blizzard why don’t we ever talk about desired races in q/a’s?
When are we getting ogres blizzard?
I wonder if Ogrilla ogres would ever be playable, outland is crumbling afterall they could use a new home
From my understanding, the Ogri’la Ogres have their own thing going on, having reached a form of enlightenment. Because of that, it’s hard for me to imagine them being interested in joining the Horde/Alliance war. I recall them assisting in general in Cataclysm, though what they’ve been up to since then is unknown. Seeing as the world (of Warcraft!) has been in danger multiple times when we could’ve gotten all the help we needed, I’m not sure when we’d ever see them appear again. If they ever show up in the future, I would guess it’d be as a neutral party still.
Besides, we already have a great and loyal clan with the Stonemaul Ogres. They’ve already done a lot for the Horde, including helping invade Theramore in Warcraft 3, and in my opinion, make the best option for playable Horde Ogres. They just need some love, such as the Horde remembering they have them within their ranks, and they could work just fine in becoming the playable Horde Ogre faction.
Dream big, Ogre fans!
I think Ogri’la gets mentioned a lot because the lore states how they’re smaller and smarter than other Ogres like the Stonemaul Clan. Blizzard would just have to threaten them in some way to push them playable. Wouldn’t be hard to do.
Like if Blizzard releases Ogres and won’t let them be two-headed mages and says it’s because they’re not smart enough I might rage lol
Stonemaul Ogre Mages are actually a thing, so that wouldn’t be a good excuse to not give Ogres the mage class. In fact, I think this NPC trained at least one of them:
The Horde have been happy to coexist with her in Dustwallow, and I could see her training Stonemaul Ogre mages in exchange for being able to live peacefully on her property. Would explain why Ogres would have the Mage class, as well.
As for the Ogri’la Ogres, I’m sure something could be written just fine. I just don’t want the Stonemaul Ogres to be forgotten, given their history and importance to the Horde .
I think the easiest way they could explain a surge of ogre magi would be to formally add the Gorian ogres who came with the Mag’har to the fold. Let them be the teachers.
We’ve been waiting so long for Ogres they should give them a Gorian starting zone out of what was cut, planned, or started (not sure how far they got) in WoD, then have Stonemaul and Ogri’la skins like dwarves are getting for Wildhammer or Red Panda Pandaren.
