Megathread: Merge Skeram and Heartseeker

I suppose that brings in to question why you would play on a PVP server

Letā€™s do it! Would love a more interactive and populated server! Merge!

Did someone say memebrain?

Because then we canā€™t transfer to half the servers in the game. Itā€™s literally the only reason I play on a PvP server at this point - I want to have the flexibility to transfer to any server I want, for example if I were to reconnect with some old friends from Classic, etc.

I loved being on a PvP server back in Vanilla. But I just canā€™t be bothered with ā€œPvPā€ these days. I just wanna be able to farm stuff and watch Netflix when I have some down time without having to deal with getting ganked.

And for each of your alts. Would be $150 for me. And since it is almost impossible to convince an entire guild to spend that kind of money, it also means leaving behind many if not all of your friends.

This is a pretty low-value thread tbh, but you can improve it immensely if you let us know whatā€™s good on netflix lately. :heart_decoration:

Then looks like youā€™re stuck on a dead server.

The purpose of this thread is discuss issues many players face, and realistic solutions to them. It should be obvious to Blizzard that not everyone will be willing to spend potentially hundreds of dollars to transfer their characters. So if servers get bad enough, people will just quit playing. Thus Blizzard needs to make a choice, fix their game, or lose subscriptions.

It seems to be the case that in the past Blizzard has responded to falling subscriptions by fixing their game.

Edit: About half of all servers are dead or dying. There are 17 servers with a population lower than Heartseeker. Incendius is the server that stands out the most. Because it was at one time the largest NA server, and now it is almost completely dead. Why?

Please blizzard I transferred because of 4 hour queue times not because I hate pvp :frowning:

Blizzard hears: $$ with all those transfers. Edit: I wish blizz was more proactive with managing population. It stinks being trapped on a low level realm or unbalanced one. I wish you could transfer all your characters for one price.

My server was dead.

Me and my friends transfered off.

You canā€™t expect blizzard to fix player made issues.

lol thats gonna be a yikes from me.

Where does one look at this? Ironforge.pro? Or is that just raiders?

Why is Incendius dead and 100% alliance? Was it caused by the players?

Wasnt that one of the realms that folded in Phase 2?

Yea, because THEY chose to xfer off and YOU chose to stay.

Itā€™s literally why Stalagg and Heartseeker are like that to name a few.

Players made those choices

No.

Edit: Incendius began as a 40/60 server. Even though horde outnumbered alliance, alliance had better guilds(namely Scuba Cops). So it was more balanced than it seemed. It went through phase 2 just fine.

Alliance on Skeram were having a pretty miserable time in phase 2, and by phase 3 it became obvious that the server had lost a significant number of players. The top alliance guilds on Skeram discussed transfers to Incendius with Scuba Cops and other guilds, believing that since it was a 40/60 server, the Skeram transfers would basically make it a 50/50 server.

The problem was that the skill level of the alliance was just much higher. So even if it was 50/50, it didnā€™t feel like it was 50/50. And most of the alliance that came in were hardcore pvpā€™er types who began griefing the horde at songflowers, and pretty much everywhere else.

The transfers began being talked about heavily on the forums, and the Ironforge data showed Incendiusā€™s growth. So many people who were unhappy on their servers decided to jump on the bandwagon. The alliance continued to swell, and the server went from a 1-1 ratio, to a 2-1 ratio in favor of the alliance.

Then the pandemic hit, and people had a lot more time to play wow, so the big servers started facing queues again. Blizzard decided to alleviate queues by offering free transfers. And pretty much the first day they opened, every horde transferred off.

Letā€™s pretend Blizzard opened free transfers from Stalagg and Skeram to Whitemane. What would happen? And be that the case, whose fault would it be?

I like my pseudo PvE safe space. No merger!

Blizzard opened up those transfers because the community was on the forums crying about server que times.

The real issue is them catering to people and then giving them what they want which in turn causes servers to be as they are now.

If blizzard never allowed free xfers you and the rest of the people that fled servers would still all be stuck there unless you paid 25 bucks.

Look at Stalagg and Heartseeker.

Alliance on Stalagg got stomped in phase 2 they all fled to Heartseeker, now you have a server thatā€™s all horde and a server thatā€™s all alliance.

They shouldnā€™t be getting involved at all so these issues donā€™t happen.
