Human/Orc Druids too please.
Nelf but not Velf…when the elf could have been a paladin before going becoming a velf. Let alone there being lore for priests doing a balancing act between light and void.
I’ve always felt that, of all the races who can’t yet be Paladins, Night Elves would be the easiest to implement narratively. Priestesses of the Moon already heavily resemble Paladins in their most traditional image. It’s not a huge stretch for some to favor melee weaponry over a bow.
I really want this. The next big leap for character customization needs to be based around classes.
I can imagine silver moonlight for nelf/nightborne priests and paladins, tauren getting a fiery gold, and blood elves have a reddish tinge.
When did he walk it back ? Proof? That really sucks if that’s true . I know Mr GM asked about nightelf paladins 2 years ago and still nothing unfortunately. Been waiting for nightelf paladins forever .
The silly part is that Night Elf priests are (lore wise) effectively archer paladins already.
At this point there is no reasoning left for (aside from evoker) any of the class restrictions anymore. All player class other than evoker have had long enough for teachers to spread to every race.
The closest I can think of to any restriction at all would be undead paladins and even that already has a lore that can be used as justification, would only need a single quest to explain it if they even cared to bother with explaining it.
There is nightelf paladin npcs also . They should have been added after legion . They make sense in all aspects and have been heavily asked for , for many years . Also we can wait for mounts to be added if that’s the case . Every paladin used the same charger for how long ? Just add them already !!!
I don’t want them all to Light-worshippers like Delas Moonfang. Right now, it looks like they plan to introduce future Paladin combos by having them all follow Tyr. Last thing I want. Keep everyone unique.
Just give us nightelf paladins first , then we can get into the details/ lore later .
Likely during Midnight, after the Elves have had their love-in and group hug.
I don’t even think it’s a stretch or needs much in terms of lore. The night elfs have been allies of the Alliance for 20 years, theyve prolonged human life with their ways, it’s not a stretch to think some of them might want to train under humans as a paladin.
Yeah I really hope so. They talked about night elf paladins 2 years ago . They said it was hard like warlocks but they want to move forward with expanding class/race combos . Then boom warlocks for all races , so why not paladin? Night elf is the most popular ally race and paladin is the most popular class. Just do it !
If you can change a lightbulb, you can be a Paladin
Tell the wow team that. We should keep this thread going make it into a mega one. They need to see how many people want these new race class combos !
Night elves may get paladins when they give them to worgen and everyone else that can’t be them currently. Although I’d find it amusing if the reason they haven’t done it is because there is some among the NE community who’ve lost their faith in Elune should Tyrande have revealed to them that their goddess willingly sacrificed their loved ones by putting them to sleep in a burning tree unaware she was sending them to the maw. Although they could swing it a lot of other reasons as well
Give me night elf shaman and Druid of the Flame skin tones for night elf druids first. I didn’t quest through all of DF and saw those two groups reunite with the others in Bel’ameth just to still not have either playable going into TWW.
Hmm. It seems like they have no plans for it right now , doesn’t mean they are done . Just finding issues with making druids for everyone it seems . Kind of silly if they are done adding more after they said they wanted to remove restrictions and keep adding random paladin NPC’s like the void elf one we recently saw .
For story and RP purposes I think every race should be able to become Paladins, but it should be more difficult for some than others. On one end of the scale are Humans who have an established “old boys network” where nepotism and other connections would surely make things easier. At the other end would be Forsaken, who would have an arduous journey to prove themselves and overcome distrust.
Many players would scream long and loud about discrimination, and how they should have what they want right now, but I think a Forsaken Paladin should be very rare, and something viewed with a certain amount of admiration for the effort put into it.
Sort of like how a “Mega thread” should have to earn that title.
I’m only using mega thread to bring attention to it . It’s something I’ve been wanting since 05. And I want people to keep talking about it . I doubt I’m the only one who wants nightelf paladins .
