So I just leveled my Mechagnome and figured I would use him to help farm some things on Mechagon, to discover that Mechagnomes have to do the quest chain to unlock Mechagon?
I know this is a trivial thing to complain about but this seems silly. Why cant this requirement be automatic for Mechagnomes? Now I get to go discover the island that I can visit any time I want already because reasons.

You also have to cure the Nightborne as a Nightborne. You fight Dark Iron as Dark Iron and Zandalari Trolls as Zandalari Trolls.
Continuity isn’t going to be consistent with a game where new characters can be introduced at any point, and instead is to be read as a linear set of events as if played from Vanilla to the current expansion, in order. Any new character introduction ruins this continuity due to the nature of picking up classes and races along the way, and is the price you must pay to get the new cool things.
Because there are time metrics to inflate for investors?
Probably more likely a technical issue that the devs didn’t foresee and don’t have an easy fix for it.
Of course I am speculating regardless. Pick whichever you prefer or make up something else.
Still silly, currently recruiting allies to go on an expedition to discover Mechagon as a Mechagnome in full heritage armor mog. Feels silly, its late, and I’m locked in my house.

Just pretend Chromie put all the new characters into really weird spaces in time and you have to role play that you’re just encountering it or you risk breaking space time.
This is a weak point in how allied race recruitment works. Oh well. It’s a little jarring, but not enough to matter, imho.
Also, as the game moves forward to future expansions, it will matter less and less. Your allied race characters won’t have much reason to play through the zones of their respective factions once those zones are part of older content.
