Mechagnomes are an abomination

Diaper? Really? Patch 8.2 called… it wants its insult back.

Dark Irons and Mechagnomes are the two best allied races to grace the World of Warcraft.

No reason we can’t have both.

Besides at the time we came to the Alliance the Sethrak would only make sense as horde.

Fine I’ll call it mechanized depends, does that work?

Already tested things on ptr.

Druid eclipse extension was fun af because people could fail it, now that it got removed it made me instantly lose interest since it became again a safe mostly easy spec.

Spriest with the rework is great, and psychic link and mind blast build has a perfect and fun playstyle that can be screwed up and has some great utility

Then I go check frost mage and while for booemie and spriest I was having a hard time fitting all abilities to my keybinds, on mage many keybinds remain empty and the spec is mostly railroaded

easy decision

I mean… that’s like calling cola-flavored soda Coca-Cola.

How about calling them Action Figures!? Back when I was a wee tike, my G.I. Joe action figures looked pretty similar in that whole, eh, area.

There we go! You could say, “I don’t like mechagnomes, they look like action figures!”

THAT works.

That could be said about all races. You can also go in reverse and say vulpera or Sethrak should have been core races, but its pretty obvious they were always going to be an npc race like mantid and naga.

If anything they just look like the abominations that Sid from Toy Story molded together, plus they’re not even that customizable so they don’t even have that going for them.

Make it so I can give a mechagnome less horrible looking feet/legs and just more random customization and I’ll change my mind. Hell make it so they can have something like a spider bottom half and I’ll spin a different tune then I am now and say they’re cool.

Bleh, you’re way off, pooch. They look like… Raideen. Or… Mazinga. Or even… GIant Robot!

Just… smaller.

I think allied races generally filled the trend of “looks like an existing race sorta” or “borrows most of the rig of another race.”

While vulpera are very unique, a lot of their animations and rigging and hand lengths are borrowed from goblins.

ITT: High concentrations of jelly, and it’s not even an enjoyable flavor.

While my desire to see goblins and gnomes form their own dysfunctional voltron remains ever solid, I just can’t see it, ever.

But if we’re comparing them to mecha we can give the mecha gnomes Darling in the Franxx.

I mean this is my main so ya

I am not convinced. So you mean to tell me that this is the first time you’ve ever posted on the forums and its a thread bashing mechagnomes? Nearly all people I’ve seen who have problems with mechagnomes on these forums usually do because they didn’t get a race that they wanted. Which usually means they have been around a while.

You’re that kid from toy story aren’t you?

Are you telling me you wouldn’t want mechagnomes with spider legs?

Personally, not my thing, but I welcome “most” new customization options.

Lightforged, Mag’har and Mechagnomes should not have been new races.

There’s a right way to reskin an existing race such as Vulpera. Same skeleton and animations, but they visually stand out to justify being a new race.

Then there’s a wrong way to do it. Like Mag’har and Mechagnomes, which could have just been barbershop options for both races.

Screw that. I ain’t losing my racials.

Mag’har orcs at least got the coolest racial armor, at least so far.
