Yep. Classic had a lot of people playing it, and it was challenging - you even had to do proper pulls while questing. You could only really steamroll content that you have outleveled/outgeared.
The biggest problem I have with wow today, other than professions, is multiple difficulties. This is what I don’t like about a game like Skyrim as well. You can change difficulty on the fly. Heroic is too hard? Farm some normal. Mythic too hard? Farm heroic. It feels awful, and the game would be much better if you chose your difficulty at the character creation screen.
Eggs-actly.
On the face of it, Island Expeditions should be entertaining. Going to a strange island, fighting mobs, seeing portals to strange places with minibosses, having the chance of a pet or a mount, getting some experience. It all sounds good.
But what does it end up being? Azerite collection. Running from one one place to another as fast as you can, grabbing the Azerite as fast as you can, getting your total, and leaving. And after doing that a few times, the eyes start to glaze and the furniture looks chewed.
This does not feature anywhere on my Fun Metric. And I’m guessing I’m not alone there.
I see no sign of this. It seems to me that they think that if everybody is equally unhappy they have succeeded.
And if you choose wrong, you’re stuck with it and may as well quit?
If it means the game will be balanced with more consistency and without insane ilvl inflation, yes.
Clearly they don’t think Warfronts are fun.
As they’re not making anymore or putting resources into them.
