Nobody wants to waste their time smelling flowers mid dungeon when you can steam roll it
Given you’d probably be crawling through dungeons at an incredibly slow rate, I don’t want to be in any of your groups, thanks but no thanks.
I’ve played since TBC. I rather enjoy MMOs for what they are, but what I don’t enjoy is a toxic ego trying to keep everyone else in a group in check.
Why rush- because I’m sorry, but if you’ve done the dungeon there’s no reason to be taking smoke breaks between trash pulls. I don’t mind helping new people or learners, so long as they’re willing to unlearn bad habits (stopping for exceedingly long durations between pulls, being unwilling to chain pull where doable, etc).
I get on my regular key tank’s case when he starts making outlandish pulls, especially multiple pulls with several mobs that have mechanics that need to be dealt with simultaneously. There’s smart and fast, and then there’s hasty. I encourage smart and fast.
Tabks pulling smart and fast is fine, i absolutely know how much i can take as a tank in almost any dungeon or raid situation, and i can move fast enough where healers will need mana break, it doesnt mean i have to approve of non tanks pulling crap because they are in a hurry, maybe i had to stop and address something for a moment, if im not on a tiimer then a waiting a moment is perfectly fine, i dont mind when dps hang back during trash if it isnt actually slowi g the run down(a run taking 15 minutes instead of 5 is not slow, a run taking over an hour instead of 15-20 is an issue)
Never really minded that kind of difference.
This has happened and I do mind it. Honestly feel like we agree more than disagree on this, realistically.
Healer can pull and die. Then I can eat healer. Then someone can res healer. Healer can leave the group. Then get a better healer. Enjoy content. Your welcome BLIZZARD!
Other than that sticky point that your tank should set the pace. Blame me being a dm and while i would absolutely find insidious joy from a wizard deciding to mage armor and running into a pack of dire wolves and just hoping they can actually get that misty step to save them… on the other side of that coin i would never be THAT wizard unless i knew for a fact those wolves arent surviving a maximzed empowered fireball and i usually play necro school so i still have my own tanks…
what does this mean? did you stop pulling to wander around the room? how intrusive to the other group members was this?
