What content? Care to elaborate?
The true âironyâ here is that whenever a queue system for low mythics is suggested, many mythics players get up in arms and adamantly oppose âtheirâ content getting potentially nerfed and screwed with.
All players who currently like delves as they are are doing is trying to protect their primary content from drastic outside changes.
There are fearmongering and territorial takes on both sides.
Yeah, Mythic +
There is a topic you can discuss that there.
Retail+
/10 char
Thatâs group content.
Iâm talking about Delves, which is under the pillar for Solo content in the game.
The topic was brought up in this thread by another poster. I was responding to him.
Pointing out the obvious similarities of a protective and territoral take.
They were replying to me. I was drawing similarities between âI donât want Delves+ because theyâll make it harder for all of usâ and âI donât want M+ LFG because theyâll make it easier for all of usâ.
But I agree - off topic.
Please no⌠not everything needs a timer.
Itâs not off topic and no need to kowtow to someone who canât see the obvious similarities.
He doesnât need to be answered to.
Yeah please donât go off topic here, thatâs vandalizing the thread even more than you already did.
I just thought it was interesting. Both takes are nothing more than fearmongering speculation. That seems to be the only reason people oppose something that does not affect them.
That said, no timer in delves. I love M+ but I also like delves for what they are - casual and chill. I do them when I know I canât fully focus or will need to afk at some point soon. Timers would stomp all over that.
What I do support is maybe hardmode delves, and definitely levels higher than 11.
You donât run the thread so maybe get off your alpha dog high horse.
I was responding to another poster and your âoff topicâ comment is an obvious need to be controlling over something you canât control.
Kinda like the majority not wanting delves to be changed too much from their current iteration.
No. Holy crap not everything in this game needs a stupid timer.
Iâve chatted with you in other threads, think you are a reasonable guy, and actually I am in favor of an optional true solo mode delve experience, no Brann. Just donât think itâs really the place to make that argument right now.
The resistance is mainly to the mythic timer and just the general feeling of the hardcore aspect running rampant and taking over, kinda like mythics players having the same reaction to suggesting a queue at low levels.
Some have argued that the challenges associated with M+ would be nerfed were it ever to become queueable LFD content (even though some facets associated with M+ have already been nerfed w/o LFD being an option), and so I would argue that the same type of concerns would arise from those that currently appreciate Delves for what they are. Delves would eventually become nerfed making it so that it would be on par with current M+ content. So, if Delves becomes more like M+, then M+ should become more like Delves in that LFD would be an option, would be required to complete M0 before moving onto M2, and have to successfully complete/time M4 before attempting M5, etc., etc.,. The gear drop rates in M+ would also change to mimic the gear acquisition rate found in Delves (one shot of hero gear upgrade a week as is the case with Bountiful map. Vault rows would also have to change for both M+ and Delves. Changes to timer.
And I completely agree. The presence of a timer changes everything. Delves were created for the sole purpose of not putting pressure on people. It would change the fundamental aspect of delve gameplay which is to take your time and smell the flowers.
I wouldnât mind more challenge being added to delves but definitely not in the form of a timer. I have M+ for that gogogo fix. Leave delves alone.
Did you mean the addition of a challenge mode that you can activate at will changes everything?
How is that so?
If itâs timed, yes. Delves just are not designed to be timed content. You can add challenge without adding a timer. I would actually very much enjoy a challenge mode delve that isnât timed. Like I said earlier, the biggest appeal with me is that I can get distracted, afk, and take my time in them. But that doesnât mean it has to be trivially easy, either.
