Starting to lose hope. T-wow is exploding so might just have to commit there.

Nobody WANTS Era. It’s just a waiting room for Fresh. There’s also thousands of active players on vanilla private servers, forum buzz, tens of thousands of views on Classic related YouTube videos etc.
There’s definitely a large market, we just don’t get any communication.

I think what matters is the fact that the population on Era increased by 1000% in the past few months. Blizzard also isn’t blind to forum, private server, and YouTube activity (with big names talking classic).

Does T-wow have P2W like the old p servers did back in the day? Or is it actually a viable classic alternative?
Slim to none because they probably have barely started work on the next SoM which is probably not happening until Q4 of this year.
Era servers actually seem quite lively right now compared to the past 6+ months. When I first checked out Whitemane there were <100 players online, now there are consistently hundreds on players online day or night. Mankrik had barely more than 100 online, that number has multiplied significantly this year. Bloodsail was completely dead. Now there are almost 1000 horde online some evenings running HC and about twice that for alliance. Interest in vanilla is definitely growing again, the OGs have stuck with it and plenty of people are already bored of DF and P2 wotlk.

They are very lively. I’ve been leveling off and on, on one of the Era clusters. There are a lot of people leveling.

I think what most people want is a classic + though. There def are fans who are coming back to just play vanilla classic. But I think a big majority of players have been asking for classic +. New content . raids/Dungeons/pvp within the classic vanilla world. I could see them adding Blood elves and dreanei for SOM 2 if it happens.
I just continue to expect nothing so that I’m pleasantly surprised when they finally announce something.
I find that’s the best way to engage with Blizzard.
