Maybe it is time to just end the factions

Right, which is exactly the same as it always has been lol.

Yeah it won’t be different here. And you as a Rogue will probably be able to sneak around. People will likely still be able to raid Silvermoon and kill Lor’themar.

lmao yeah it’s clearly the worst thing that can happen, definitely

it’s a relic of the past, and it needs to go

Getting the stabby stabby when going in, you know what I mean.

Though I would support- and think it should be- that the guards just teleport people back or give a dazed effect when trying to leave and a “You aren’t allowed in this area, Alliance.”

My guy you’re literally playing a goblin

So you were surprised to find something that has been the same since day 1?

Lol huh?

I was surprised we could go to Alliance cities without being attacked, and am against it.

Dalaran at least has the fact that Belves have LONG been on the council and in fact was founded as the Belves- then as Helves- helped teach humans magic.

You can’t lol.

Maybe that’s what Blizzard wanted during Cataclysm and BfA. Now they accidentally created the inter-player conflict they wanted back then.

Personally I think it’s stupid. We are all playing the same game and paying the same company to do it.

We should be helping each other maximise the fun we are getting out of this game.

Instead we are trading insults and being toxic as F (these few days on the forums have been an eye opener) for completely artificial reasons - I get arguing about class balance and stuff but this Alliance vs Horde BS is completely made up by Blizzard courtesy of their story telling and game design choices.

If this happens due to having KOS in Silvermoon my reaction will be:

It has already happened. Look at the forums the last few days. Never have this forum been so toxic over faction BS until the Midnight reveal.

Ya right! This game is not world of warcraft! It is world of wokecraft!

It was already kinda toxic already from the leaked portaits of Alleria and co.

It’s mostly just the High Elf weirdos lol.

I don’t think it’s wise to make a permanent decision based on a temporary, one xpac problem, that is not actually a problem.

Keep factions as is, and chill on the Silvermoon hyperbole.

But it has been a problem for several expacs now. If anything BfA proved it was a bad idea and they have been walking back the factions for years now.

The forums are irrelevant and absolutely nothing about the game should be designed based on placating the toxicity of their user base. If there’s a choice between changing the fundamental identity of the game and shutting down the forums, I think it’s obvious they should do the latter.

Spoiler, the identity of the game has already changed and Blizzard is just clinging to some old beliefs.

Not anymore. Faction conflict overstayed its welcome after WoD. Even during WoD it made no sense and it was brought up in the old forums that Ashran and the battlegrounds should be retooled into war games between the Alliance and Horde nations for training purposes.

Also, every time conflict was attempted it made the characters involved act like idiots. I’d rather just fight cosmic horrors when that is the alternative.

Or they could write faction conflicts that aren’t cringe, forced and overly contrived? BfA’s story and theme was really bad.
