Maybe I am Missing the Point of Lemix

So I am nearing 700i. I have 60vers. I do the daily quests, and try to run the raids on mythic most days. I havent spammed M+ or done any farms for hours. So, I am behind. I have no problem with that.

But, the thing I am feeling, is that the stronger I get, the less fun everything is. I know that is the idea. To see how powerful we can become. But, I got invited to a Mythic Nighthold, and the bosses all died in 15-20 seconds. I steam roll heroic world quests. I would run some M+, but the keys want 740i and 100+ vers for +20 and up.

Currently with the time gate, leveling alts is fine, but there isnt really a IP catch up, or a gear catch up. So when you get to Max level, you have a long gear grind to get up to 740i gear. And a marginally better IP grind. So until the final phase, it feels prohibitive to level alts, as the gearing process has no real catchup.

I am going to try to spam some M+ runs this weekend to see if I can get to 740i, but again, the stronger I get, the less fun Lemix feels.

This feels almost like grinding an AARPG like Diablo. Which may be the goal. But, in the end, after I get the 100 Heroic World Quest Tmog, and the +30 Key mog, I am most likely done.

How do you all feel about Lemix?

Just do the things you want. I am collecting all the transmogs and mounts. If you have/ want high Vers that is great, but it isn’t needed to get anything.

Collect the things you wish and then leave. We have 3 months so there is no rush. Have fun!

999 is there for a reason.

Spam Mythics. Im at 740 with 89 vers and having fun gaining the cosmetics and being powerful enough to solo finally. Not sure why ppl have been saying you need 100+ Im only doing the PUG groups in LFR for the bronze reward cache, it definetly feels competitive with everyone hurrying to kill the bosses lol, after i just been soloing instances & world content taking my time going at my own pace collecting bronze. Im going to see later if im powerful enough to possibly solo a low level key. I havent came across anyone willing to group and just spam raids & dungeons, so :man_shrugging:

Im going to be doing alts soon for more class specific titles, achvs and beneficial class hall abilities & cosmetics i didnt have previously (like Hunter stuff). So ill still be having fun

I’m at 639 ilvl and 7% vers. Leveled 3 other classes to 80 and working on a 5th. I feel zero pressure to keep up with the rat race. There are plenty of people spread out at various stages and running things. I did a normal Nighthold yesterday that was labeled as “chill” and that’s exactly what it was. A group of people just plowing through and enjoying their day. Looking forward to the rest of the stuff unlocking.

P. S. There’s something oddly satisfying in killing these snooty elves while playing a Troll. They’re all like, “we were chosen…” as I step over their bodies. Sure, mon.

Point of remix is to farm cosmetics. Getting overpowered just lets you farm the cosmetics (and currency) faster.

Lvl Chars you want to 80, get Overpowered, and run around in dungeons, raids, etc as others stated, do your class hall stuff, achievements, and just farm currency/collectables. Revert when done, rinse and repeat. Pretty much all I’m doing. It’s been a blast.

That’s exactly what it is and why I always play AARPG’s in Hardcore mode.

Otherwise you’re just Sisyphus pushing the rock up the hill over and over forever. The only thing that changes is the Rift/M+ number since you keep getting stronger at the same rate as the mobs. You’re doing the same content again and again at the same level of difficulty until the math breaks.

I know there are players who live for that but I’m already slowing down. The gameplay loop was great but at some point you realize you’re doing nothing of value.

Just play the game how you want. Collect Bronze, buy stuff, take breaks. Rinse and repeat.

Things to do in remix

1: Collect Tmog, Mounts, pets and toys. Many are unique to the remix mode. Many that can be earned on live are harder to get on live/based on RNG.

2: Level alts for whatever reason you want. Crafting? Achievements? Don’t feel like paying for a name/race change?

3: Make a broken version of whatever class/spec you want and then do whatever you feel like doing with broken character. Solo raids? Destroy high keys?

4: See content you missed if you didn’t play then

5: Make something up?

EDIT: There is some extra stuff coming in December but they haven’t said what it is they are doing.

The faster combat mode is actually the diversion I am looking for out of a remix. Faster and more powerful over time. Maybe I’ll get to where you are now. Maybe not. Will have to wait and see.

I’m just here for the stuff RNG denied me during Legion and my subsequent trips back, the new achievement related rewards, and whatever new mounts, pets, and housing stuff I can buy with bronze. One I have all that, I’m done.
At the moment I’m just doing my research and raids on mythic and heroic every day, for some quick IP. And just waiting for the next phase, so I can spend more of my bronze. I actually have enough to get everything I need already. Just need to wait for the event to catch up to me. XD

My main objective is to get all the stuff I don’t already have as well as the remix exclusive achievement rewards.

I’m in a unique situation though, because I deleted my old account that had all this unlocked already, so I’m regaining everything I lost, save the mage tower skins. (I’m not sad about that)

Take it for what it is, I’m gaining power now so I don’t have to struggle in later phases. I don’t have the intention of powering alts, level a few yes, but not power.

It is all player specific and what their goals are in wow.

myself - I have finished my mythic achieve.

PvP - finished my Elite set achieve.

Sure there is the 3k in keys and 2400 in PvP.

But it does not interests me. I started the season little late and happy with the retail achieve.

Now I would rather just focus on this and head into beta.

If you still have stuff to get in retail then remix would not make sense.

It is all player specific. I can either do remix or gank Alliance in gold shire on my Horde Main.

For me it’s like Christmas. I was not subbed during Legion due to my son being born, and even since coming back to the game I’d done very little of it since I focused on current content. Almost everything is new to me. To top it off, while I’m doing all of these quests, campaigns, and raids I’ve never experienced I’m also getting to easily buy all of these mounts, mogs, pets, and toys because the currency practically rains from the sky and I’m not at the mercy of RNG or a rep grind. I’m personally having a blast. I know I’m in the minority of players but it’s like Blizz dropped a new game to hold me over for a while until Midnight hits.

I wish you and your family a great weekend!

remix is good to unlock class mounts in lightning speed with the next phase. usually it takes 5 - 14 days depending if you grind it for 16 or just 10h a day  and in remix be like probably done within some hours

Remix isn’t about progression or doing difficult content.

It’s about being efficient, killing things fast, and farming bronze/infinite power.

At least for me, I’m treating it like a personal challenge — to see how far I can go solo in M+.

I’m at 740 ilvl and 174 IP.

I can handle +28s without a problem — I barely take any damage, but my damage output is a joke.

My next day off is in 6 days.

I’ll try to raise my Vers in the meantime so that on my next day off I can finally break past the +30 barrier without issues.

Since on workdays I can only play for about 2 hours, I can’t really do much besides raids.

I might stop doing ToV so I can focus on Nighthold instead.

The point is whatever you want it to be. I am a collector and an alt junkie, so my goals are to level some alts and collect mounts, pets, etc. So I am going slow and having fun.

Others want to race to max and become super-powerful.

To each their own.

Incredible. I am finishing my 3rd 80, and moving on to my 4th. Have collected everything unlocked atm and have 240k bronze just chilling. I figure I will race change my Druid to Haranir in Midnight and delete the rest. Remix is all about the alts. Having a BLAST!
