It will die down eventually, but Blizzard definitely failed at preparing for Classic. Like they fail at most things.

if your currently doing this. the results is crap. been in que all day sense this afternoon and still waiting good job blizz.
the queue is not decreasing, and some of my friends are going in with no queue at all, something went wrong
Hey Blizz, just letting you know that on Whitemane US (not sure about other servers) certain players are still experiencing huge queues, while others (like myself) are getting in instantly.
No this really did help… I went from 15000 in que… To 13000 in que… WOW you really out did yourself this time… How about we move the dang que time from Sub DAY times of 8 hours down to something more reasonable like 2 hours…
I believe it’s either happening to one realm at a time, or its going to happen on the next hotfix. Judging by peoples responses, some people experienced a 5k drop in queue while others experienced none. It could’ve been a mass d/c or the hotfix itself. It will probably be seen within the next couple days before the weekend. I’m sure they dont want to deal with the weekend surge drama either…
I have been stuck at 300 people / 6 minutes for the past 2 hours lol.

Fix your queue system for the love of god… Been in queue for 6 hours already and I am on pace to get in after 20-30 hours. Average 1-2 moves every 10min, 200 more to go. Seems NOT WELL.

Oh joy… I went from 24k queue with an 8 hour wait to 11k queue with a 6 hour wait… Great job Blizzard ! I SO enjoy not getting to play the game I’m paying for.

Yeah if there’s an improvement, it’s hard to see. Queue timer was pretty reliable before this change. Now I’ve spent 90 minutes in a “120 minute queue” and I still have 100 minutes to go? The number of people ahead of me in queue is higher than it was 20 minutes ago.
So I’m just going to join the chorus and state how very frustrating it is to have this game that I’d really like to spend time playing and have to spend massive insane amounts of time waiting. Last time I experienced a launch this frustrating was D3. And nothing else really comes close.
I also think that the queues encourage playing the game in an unhealthy way. Four hour queues make logging off to go for a walk or grab some food feel very costly. Finally get in at 12:30am? Normally I’d stop playing at 1am, but how can I justify only playing 30 minutes after waiting so long?
I’m not super technically savvy, and I’m not sure how persistent the current population will be, so I don’t have any practical suggestions for Blizz. I just want to wait a lot less.

Yea , So I choosed herod at first, They told me to switch.
I did. I choosed Stallag. Now I get in the first day , no problem. Play around 10hours . Now I need to wait 6h to be able to play. How is this normal?
I would accept to wait like … 1 hours to play… which is okay. But how can anyone manage to wait 6 hours before play? So if I want to play 4 hours… I need to clear my agenda for 10 hours?

Hope this gets fixed very soon. I work 10 1/2 days 5 days a week and sitting waiting 3 hours for a queue to just log on is frustrating! By the time i log on gotta turn right around log off and crash for work tomorrow. I understand the tourists will drop off but this is something i’ve waited for for a long time being around when vanilla was well vanilla. Please fix almost pointless to try…

really? so you increased the capacity? but i see no difference. i still need to Q hours before I can get in. my normal daily routine is like this: get back home after work, login the game, wait few hours on the queue, still on the queue and then go to bed.
