Went down another 500, still roughly 2-3 hr wait
was around 11200 at 1:35pm est aswell sitting at 2800 now
The primary purpose of the queues were to encourage people to distribute to new realms. Apparently they feel like they have achieved that goal, so no use to keep people out that already feel committed to a realm.
Dropping at a steady pace doesn’t change the fact it’s still going to take forever to log in.
I honestly don’t know why they even posted this clickbait. I guess they’re just trying to save face.
Except some players are going back to their original overpopulated realms now…

Come back in a couple months and you’ll see. It’s just an initial spike due to the “zomg new thing X is out” and then they figure out it wasn’t as fun as they thought it was or would be. It’s just trending for now. Interest is going to drop like a stone once people hit mid 20s.
This is basically just kicking the can down the road. Allow free server transfers from full/high to low/med pop servers. So we can actually have people leave the servers with crazy ques. The longer you postpone it the less likely people are to move. Its bad enough you launched with only like 15 servers (whos brilliant idea was that)

Thank you Blizz. For those that lack common sense and only stare at numbers… if your que is 15,000 before but now its 5,000 you also have 10,000 doors that can open that previously didnt exist. Everything moves faster.
Nah man, we are just realists who understand that when someone says a “significant” portion of something, we dont freak out about it not meeting a crazy assumption that it needs to be most or all of that something. if they meant a majority, all, most of, or half of the max waits, then they would have said that…

You guys (the players, I mean) really have to decide if you hate layering as much as you say you do when servers are overloaded a billion times more than they used to be in the old game. This is precisely why they keep opening new servers.
Really, it might do for Blizz to just open like 5x more servers of each type. I know the massive risks of doing so, but it’s clear that players are bloating the servers immediately and it would’ve been better to do this days ago, since now people are burned out on “constantly rerolling” and all of that.
That’s down from the 10-11k that it was a couple hours ago when I first tried to log in.
I just logged into my pvp east realm. no que time.
They need to offer transfers. I would galdy transfer but I have 24 hours of /played already. So i’ll go AFK in a queue for 4 hours and play when i get back.
