Max level characters should not be allowed in levelling dungeons

Never said you take your 70s but by this time one should know the dungeons after so many toons.

I do so many normal for weekly quests and have seen other 70s do the same and no one get kicked. If you are having that issue then maybe the problem is you and not the level 70s.

Either that or you think you have to be the hero for those lvl 60-69.

If that is so did they ask you to be?

Wait, so this is even less about low level and more about low iLev? I think the title needs changing lol

I go the pace of the group and if folks are learning ok that’s fine. I don’t Vtk unless someone is being rude.

I don’t think people that can solo dungeons care about about the output of others lol, and if they do they’re tools anyways so who cares

What exactly is stopping you from learning? Watch what they do. Learn.

If you get kicked just move on to the next dungeon? Jerks gonna jerk. I don’t get why it’s the end of the world

You having a good time is not my concern.

I think they should do away with the satchels entirely. However, I have never waited more than 10 minutes in the queue as dps this expansion for normal so I doubt you are missed.

Not that you can learn anything from normal/heroic anyways. M+ is where its at

I think it would be reasonable to scale Ilvl down to normal/heroic/mythic0 ilvl. I’d add mythic0 dungeons to the queue as well and uncap it’s loot. It’s all trivial content for anyone experienced but could be very good for the other players learning if everyone overgeared is scaled down.

Here’s the thing.

If I’m learning a new spec, over geared players make it harder to learn.

If I’m leveling an alt, the super quick carry is awesome.

And I suspect there are more people that want quest credit and quick carries.

No.

Homies really want to spend 30-40 minutes in a normal dungeon, it seems.

I can think of only one time I saw a DPS kicked simply for having low DPS, but it wasn’t a leveling dungeon. Frankly, I think a lot of people like having low DPS players in the group because it makes them look better.

That might the problem right there.
Why should a “leveling dungeon” offer anything of real value to a max-level player?
I believe that aside from personal satisfaction, it should not.

Remove the runes from content not related to the runes and keep that stuff in level-appropriate dungeons. DF runes should be in DF dungeons tailored for max levels.
that’s my take.

Normal dungeons have always been the first step in the WoW gearing process. Unless Blizzard creates an entirely new and farmable gearing system for players when they hit max level that doesn’t require doing normal dungeons, I don’t see that changing any time soon.

Agreed.
But are the runes that max-level players are trying to get something that aligns with this “First step”?
Can a 60-63 player entering RLP for the first time use these runes?
Sure it would be cool to start saving them now for the future but no one who is 70 now had stock up runes to succeed so…?
Adding them in during the end of the expansion when they start adding all kinds of catchup mechanics makes more sense… unless the expansion is so doomed that we’ve reached that point already.

Yes. They can also get the runes if they sign up to tank/heal when a bonus bag is available.

Use. can they use them at that level?

Is this only about level 70’s in normal Dragonflight dungeons, or can I complain here about level 60’s who trigger Legacy Loot rules in BfA normal dungeons so levelers get screwed out of gear?

I’m confused as to why that is relevant.

Bottom line. Normal dungeons are designed and scaled to be completed by players that are between levels 60 and 70. Requesting that level 70 players not run normal dungeons that are designed for them is ridiculous. They are not “leveling dungeons”. They are normal dungeons.

Okay. but…

I suppose this is what confused me.

I see these Normal dungeons, especially ones opened when doing the main storyline, as dungeons to help the character complete the story and level up to harder content and later dungeons.

By the time you reach the Vault in the storyline, is there really any story-driven need to revisit Ruby Life Pools?

That is why I think of them as “leveling dungeons” they help you get from 60-70.

Ok here is my 2 cents to anyone that thinks level 70s should not be doing normals even past a certain ilvl.

Until you pay my sub or anyone elses besides your own , then you don’t have a say in what we do .

Blizz will never stop people from doing what ever content they enjoy just because some people want to go full on Karen and complain to the manager
