Masterloot was removed because of the elitists showing off and will never come back

Master Loot was made because in a system where your guild rewards you based on how big of an asset you are to a guild rather than striving to make themselves a bigger asset by pulling more damage or do external things in order to be seen of as a bigger asset they chose to complain that loot councils are corrupt and they never get anything because it just wasn’t fair.

I don’t get this thinking. In a guild if I’m the worst rogue on damage consistently, but show up just as much as the other people who contributing less of an effort, why should I be given a high ticket item over the guy consistently pulling first or second that has the same level of attendance and even more effort applied?

This really is just a symptom of people’s impatience mixed with their default to victimhood mindset when something doesn’t go their way. Their shortcomings are never anything of their own doing, it’s because they are obviously being held down by the system. . . or something stupid like that. Basic fact of the matter is there is almost always someone who deserves something more than you and who is a bigger benefit to the people distributing loot than you are.

Like I’m going to give Onslaught Girdle to a moron playing a ret paladin pulling 350 dps over the warrior who pulls double that damage consistently and will get a far bigger boost out of it ultimately resulting in a better experience for 39 other people.

There are more people in a guild than just you. An effect loot council recognizes that and will give loot to the person who is most likely to stick around, most likely to perform better with it, and is viewed as a larger asset to a guild. If I’m going to give a loan of money to somebody, I am far more inclined to give it to the person with credentials and trustworthiness to actually pay me back than someone who couldn’t ever dream of utilizing it to its fullest, blowing it on stupidity and never having the chance to pay me back for the investment.
