Master Loot? why

I’m a forever trial, in a Classic guild. I’ve raided with them about four times. How is it fair I roll on items that other people need and have shown more attendance, than I have?

A good guild should be able to handle you keeping an upgrade for yourself at least some of the time.

There will be times when you still may want to trade an upgrade, if it’s bigger for someone else of course. But if your preference is that you want to keep even the tiniest upgrade no matter what, the you may not align with that guild philosophy and should find a group that won’t ever ask you to trade.

They could, but what does that say about you as an individual if you are that selfish?

Keep in mind everyone else in the guild would’ve been trading their gear around to best help the team, what you think you are special and you are exempt?

It’s always better when theres a centralized system that everyone agrees on.

Hence why EPGP is the perfect system for most midcore/semicore guilds.

It lets you know where you stand, and its fair. You show up, you will get gear. If you dont, you wont. How’s that not fair?

In that case the individual belongs in a different guild. Nothing wrong with a guild just not being a fit for someone so they leave.

Nothing to cope about Brotine

It’s a game…I mean it obviously isn’t to you and I sorta pity your life…but still it’s a game.

Oh and you are rationalizing and that is dangerous…you may want to take a deep breath actually go outside for once and consider that you may be drifting into a delusionary state.

But all is not lost…if Ion doesn’t get a clue this time…he is going to be left with a handful of tin horned dictators with delusions of godhood and you can all stand around thinking about the best way to gaslight and screw each other over

and Microsoft will shut WoW down because not enough income is coming in.

I will laugh and go back to playing better MMo’s

Sure, but that person should trade the item first and then leave, they shouldn’t keep it and then leave, as everyone else in this hypothetical guild would’ve agreed to the rules and been trading their stuff around.

If you want to ninja an item on your way out the door…I suppose nobody can stop you, but again, what does that really say about that person, and who are the real ninja’s here? The GM that is passing out loot based on a predetermined set of rules everyone agreed to? Or the guy that decided he no longer agreed to the rules when RNG placed the item in their bags?

Did everyone trade every incremental upgrade? Did the guild understand where a bid item should stay with who got it? What if nobody needed something so the person who it dropped for kept it?

This is all gray. Being a team player doesn’t necessarily mean you have to trade every upgrade, because you also need to perform.

Even if an upgrade was better for someone else, maybe you work it out “hey I’ll loot spec ret for you next boss and maybe we can get you that new weapon”

If you’re entire argument is based on Black and white any drop should go to the player it helps the most, this conversation is moot because you’d already have agreed to trade anything, and if you weren’t comfortable with that, the group isn’t for you.

This is why PL with no restriction is a bad idea.

It’s black and white.

PL mandated for all non guild groups.

ML as an option for guild groups.

Watch the interview with asmon or stop making stuff up.

Ion clearly said that they would like to implement something like master loot in and nothing beyond that other than the comment about world content and individual loot.

This person shouldn’t have been in the raid if they didn’t already agree to this.

Everyone traded what they were told to trade.

RC loot council legit just tells me who to trade my item to if I don’t win it.

Then gratz? If nobody needed it why would anyone be telling them to trade it?

No, but it does mean you should honor whatever rules you agree to as a team. If you all agree on PL…fine. If you all agree on RC loot council where members have the authority to keep items if they want to…also fine. Just don’t be a liar and say you agree to a system and then cut bait when you get a shiny purple item.

Sure…if you work out something then you work out something. There are an infinite number of ways players can choose to distribute loot if ML comes back.

It’s not. My entire argument is players should honor the loot rules they agreed to at the start of the raid and not change their mind halfway through because they get lucky.

At no point have I disagreed with that. If trade everything was the agreed upon rule then, yes you should do that.

If it was just a casual PL with tradesies, then you could decide to keep. (This is what I was referring to in my first comment)

back to everything reserved roll on stuff not needed ewww

If that was agreed upon why is anyone telling you to trade anything?

Of course. Absolutely.

Did you not play Legion?

Guild only PL killed reserve runs.

You need Ion to tell you that if they bring back ML it will be the successful version that worked in Legion and not the toxic one?

Why on Earth would you expect Ion to bring back vanilla ML instead of Legion ML?

that literally makes my skin crawl
rolling on every single piece of loot again
OMG

Why would anyone join those groups? Don’t join them, they don’t get enough people to raid, no loot for them. Easy.

I dont understand how this was ever a problem for anyone.
