Massive stutters with DF client

You’re a year behind on Windows builds, you should be on 22H2 now, instead of 21H2 and you’ve got a ton of memory leak issues at the end of the report, in a wide variety of applications/games. This can come from a number of things, like a bad OS environment, corruption, missing features, overclocking, bad BIOS memory settings, things flipped on/off that shouldn’t be, etc. You might also need to check your ram and other system components because sometimes a badly seated stick of ram can cause these kinds of intermittent issues.

Today BlizzardCS has replied on twitter that “This issue is a priority… we appreciate the reports coming in on the thread.” First reply and acknowledgement so far, 8 days in. Hoping for a Blue Post here as an update, game is still unplayable with object pop-in and stutter.

Good to know. I don’t use Twitter so thanks for relaying the message. I’m looking forward to playing a non-broken game!

Do you work for Blizzard? If not, just stop. You are not helping.

I’m going to do the same. Been playing New World and I love the game. Plus, Amazon cares about their customers.

A blue did actually acknowledge the issue and posted this exact response in here a while ago.

They did on Oct 26th. It’s now Sept 9th and the stutter/asset pop-in has not changed. Still waiting for a Blue Update on the issue.

Weird surprise update today. Asset pop in still just as bad, with both npcs and several small to large objects invasively appearing out of nowhere 60yrds in front of me.

What are these updates even for?? Loool. Seems priority is getting dragonflight launched. Shouldnt these issues be prioritized as part of launch? Gonna be REAL smooth if this is happening after release… I see a bunch of ads about dracthyr. Seems more priority is placed on making previews for dracthyr, as if people actually need one 5 days before they release, than the problems we are having in this thread but idkkk… lool

I shudder to think what this issue will be like next week when part two of the pre patch drops

Its not really related to texture pop ins etc but recently noticed that alot of shadow textures in the old zones just start shimmering for no reason this wasnt there before the patch and doesnt happen in classic either was curious if anybody else had this problem as well

Probably at least somewhat related. My ground textures don’t fully render until theyre literally 5 yrds away from my character. Extremely cringe quality.

This issue needs to get fixed ASAP. It had an improvement sometime in the last couple weeks that mostly fixed it for me but i still get nasty stutters occasionally and even a crash on doomwalker (Never dropped a single frame or crash in the entirety of shadowlands exact same build)

This is just unacceptable at this point

Same here. Came to post this…

Mine just started after the server shutdown yesterday 11/9/22

170 FPS jumps all over down to 20 or less, this is becoming unplayable.

Everyone post your Dxdiags following the Blue instructions; hopefully they are actually looking at the problem instead of focusing on DF promotion. If the xpac launches in this state, with no update or communication for Blizz, this will have been the worst experience I have had in all my years playing WoW. 10 days, still no response, hopefully we can get a blue post today? Even a “we are working on it!” would be amazing.

They said they were looking into it already and posted something in BlizzardCS Twitter the other day as well. If they find that it’s something wrong on their end, they will probably fix it. If it’s not on their end, then they might explain what’s causing the issue and ways to mitigate it, such as making sure you’re on the latest builds of Windows, driver versions, disabling certain softwares, etc.

Has anyone noticed any improvement with the latest Nvidia drivers that were released today? I just tried them, zero difference in stuttering =(

In all honesty it’s getting worse for me.
I was running a TW and it was a full 1-2 lock every 15-20s while in combat.
